A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai

Well we have another boring isekai slop entry #101: the unassuming protagonist with a mundane, boring life suddenly dies and gets reincarnated into a fantasy world with ridiculously overpowered skills. The MC is pure of heart, effortlessly solves every problem in just a few scenes, has a reluctant "I just want a simple life" attitude, but inevitably ends up saving the day every now and then. Yeah, definitely original. The MC is about as bland and forgettable as they come. I genuinely can’t remember his name, or anyone else’s for that matter. The only name that stuck was the baby dragon, and not because it’s good or memorable, but because of the nonstop, grating baby noises it makes. The MC doesn't just have plot armor, he has full-on plot convenience where everything falls perfectly into place for him 100% of the time. No real struggle, no tension, no suspense—nothing. Even basic tasks he has zero experience with are executed flawlessly. I could go on listing examples of how shallow and illogical the story is, but that's not worth the effort. The writing is as basic as it gets: bad guy does bad thing → MC gets angry → MC solves problem instantly. Animation: Standard mediocre isekai fare—dashing speed lines to fake dynamic movement, lazy character designs. Visually, it's not the absolute worst, but nothing special. Save yourself the trouble and watch something else. This is straight-up garbage—exhaustingly boring, even by low isekai slop standards.

Shit was exhaustingly boring, even for isekai slop standards. I watched it on weekly release and always forgot what happened last time because it was so mundane. Also, the title is misleading, MC's gathering skill is only viable when the plot demands it, otherwise he is just op like every other isekai MC, and he got an annoying baby dragon that won't shut the fuck up, like really annoying, the main reason I wouldn't recommend it is because of that squeaking dragon. I guess one positive point I can name, even though MC got a bland and friendly personality like every other isekai MC, he doesn't have a harem of girls who want to suck his dick; in fact, nobody even considers to suck his dick, and he has real friends, even male ones. So yea pass on it, let it rot in the trash it came from.

Let’s start with the most important part-Takeru. He’s a solid main character likable, not annoying, and actually easy to root for (which is already a win for an isekai MC). Bee the dragon feels like Pikachu… but with less charisma 😅 Cute? Yes. Iconic? Not really. The vibes are there, the spark is missing. The anime moves at a good pace never too slow, never rushed. The characters are good, the adventure feels fun and relaxed, and the whole series gives off cozy RPG exploration energy. The opening song is 🔥 and honestly one of the highlights it’s hard to skip. Overall, I had a really good time with it. Recommended for fans of light adventure anime who just want to enjoy the journey without heavy drama. Score: 6/10 And yes I’m definitely waiting for another season.

Cheap and cheerful slop. This is pretty much what I imagine a cheerful if not particularly bright LNist whose brain has been rotted by the relentless production of isekai product would produce if you asked them to translate a live and let live mentality into an isekai without giving them any other details. The production values are not great, the story is generic as you like, the music is serviceable but there's an earnestness to this cheerful slop. And an isekai that it's not motivated by a bubbling misanthropic rage gets a little bit of benefit of the doubt from me. The show has a comic clumsiness, it even displays a little charm as it trips over itself as it tries to perform all the usual isekai rote beats while also somehow with comic naive sincerity attempts to weave in stories of an intersex/trans character and apocalyptic levels of incest (charming goof is not the easiest target to land on in that mixture!).

Another reincarnation Iseki where the protagonist goes on adventures, makes friends, hunts and gathers items...exactly what I like. Keep them coming. The main characters are likeable, so are all the supporting. The open world is developed. The protagonist is OP, but not obnoxious about it. I would classify this a feel-good, high fantasy, sword & sorcery that doesn't take itself too seriously, a popcorn flick. The art style was consistent throughout, no CGI here. The story did add a little uniqueness not seen before, but mostly followed similar isekai reincarnations. I recommend it because I quite enjoy Isekai, Reincarnation, Fantasy, Adventures. I would ignore all the naysayers if you like these genres and themes.

A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai — An Isekai adventure that's all about material gathering? Sounds cool...until it isn't. "Expectations beget expectations," that's one self-quote I would tell myself, and the rest of you too, to notably figure out what each show has going for it, even at the most generic, bland, bad, or what have you. But the more that I actually figure out who's to blame for most of the adaptations of generic works since COVID times, you have to really start with the big dogs — the publishing companies behind those works, and one culprit easily stands out: AlphaPolis. The same publishing company that brought us one of the classics of the 2010s with Gate, and onwards into the 2020s with Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, also brought us many stinkers through the last half-decade, like Fall 2023's Oaru Ossan no VRMMO. Katsudouki, a.k.a. A Playthrough of a Certain Dude's VRMMO Life, and this winter's Izure Saikyō no Renkinjutsu-shi, a.k.a. Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time (which has just been renewed for Season 2, WHY???). But back to the show, whose series has been one of AlphaPolis's IP since January 2017, novelist Masuo Kinoko's lone series, Sozai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokouki, a.k.a. A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai, reeks of the all-too-familiar red flag of a series that actually has potential given its title, but that it too, like so many other series similar to this premise, gets roped back to the stereotypical Isekai adventure whenever it can for a safety net; it just feels far too cheap and risk-averse to stay true to the tradition, rather than branching out and making the core theme its plaything that has a lot more potential to experiment and uncover. If you thought that Isekai adventures could not get any more stereotypical AND boring at the same time, wait till you hear of the story of the average MC Takeru Kamishiro, who, being tired of his salaryman life, is chosen by the god overseer as he wakes up in his domain and reluctantly accepts all that this "god" has to offer to him since his "untimely death" into the fantasy world of Madeus and a blessing of magic that's solely for gathering purposes. So then, it's with this context that Takeru is sent out to the fantasy world to make a mark of his own, whilst helping its own civilization get back from the brink of potential ruin. Right from the start, Takeru is just an unappealing MC. He's just the kind of goody-two-shoes character that you would find in many generic "Isekai reincarnation to fantasy" stories that just doesn't stand out from being someone leading the way for the story elements to follow. It's only when he gets to do all of the things that similar OP MCs have done in their series, like encounter gods and be given their offspring, as such with the old mountain dragon of Voldius entrusting his own child of Bee to Takeru that he helped hatch with his magic, that he finally gets his gathering journey off to a decent start. Alongside the two, Takeru's party, which consists of elf girl Brolite, lizardman Clayston, and pegasus Hofvalpnir, are decent to a degree, as typical party members go. The first of few that Takeru would meet on perchance, as such with Brolite being left starving and unclean in the woods and then being hired for mercenary duties, proves that she has the technical skills and know-how as a functioning party member, though she often stinks due to her uncleanliness. Next comes Clayston, and his reputation precedes him as one of the cities' adventure guild veterans who knows more about Takeru than anyone else, though his antics can make him one such nut to get around, and his penchant for an injured body being healed by Takeru is enough to take him as part of his party; it's like the former is just taking him for a valuable sidekick to help him navigate around unfamiliar lands. Last but not least, for Hofvalpnir (or Puni, as Takeru would call her), she's the result of bad situations gone worse, and the saving that convinces her to follow the gatherer after all that's said and done. Dear God of Madeus, you could've come up with a better list of people instead... It also doesn't help that the production levels on the series are also just mediocre. Despite the studio collab between Tatsunoko Production and SynergySP, just like the eventual collapse of Gainax as a studio, Tatsunoko is in this strange position that they have not been able to produce quality shows in the last 2 decades, so much so that whatever they did, it just doesn't speak of the reputation of the once-revered company that more than set itself apart from industry giants of its time (with Tezuka Productions and TMS Entertainment, to name a few), both then and even now. Alas, you would not be finding quality within this show, both production- and music-wise, as the OST is also plain Jane for the fact. I appreciate Nornis's OP for the bit that it has a charm to it that speaks of slice-of-life fantasy, but Nakigoto's ED sure makes me want to sleep all the more. Add in all the reasons why this show is bad, and you'd have yourselves a mediocre fantasy that doesn't try to experiment much and stay right comfortably in its Isekai fantasy adventure comfort zone, which the numbers don't lie about how much Japan loves this kind of stuff. But to be honest, just skip over this one; there are others better out there.

Lacking a climax. Another great butchering Twelve short acts From 62 chapters Give me Freedom Give me Campfire Give me Tonsuki Lest I Retire… Thank you for reading my poem.. They did it again, they debut a show to advertise the source but the show is so bad it deters us instead. From the script writing to the pacing, to the plot, the story, the characters, it’s rather unbearable. Whilst I will rant here about what I watched in this show, it’s important to distinguish this show from the manga which is somewhat better regarding pacing, dialogue and characterisation. There are few times that the anime outright portrays certain small events or dialogue differently to the manga. Back to my rant; They literally went through a checklist. Pikachu-like mascot ✔️ Pseudo-comedy ✔️ Pseudo-Tsundere ✔️ Zero risk taking(including romance) ✔️ Super-self-insertable Goody two shoes – MC ✔️ Tensura-like opening ✔️ Tonsuki creature collecting ✔️ Random encounters like walking through wild-grass in Pokémon? ✔️ Magic Wand World Mechanics ✔️ Game-world NPCs as characters ✔️ The most ostentatiously daft plot twist imaginable? ✔️ Then they thought; How do we make this guy different from other isekai series? 😜 We’ll make him collect herbs in his downtime, Absolute genius! He’s a gatherer who also does what every other isekai protagonist does. They literally stitched this stuff together and what’s left is a complete husk of show. The characters go places and do things and there’s no nuance in it, it’s Ludicrous. We have our classic OPMC but this one takes the cake. If you’re sick of complaining about OPMCs with this one at least you can’t complain enough. Just cry your heart out, this guy has to be one the most disgustingly broken MCs ever. It’s utterly effortless watching how his spells are baked on the spot, pulling utterly outrageous law-breaking wizardry like a rabbit out of a hat. Let’s not even begin to talk about the power system that remains an enigma after finishing the 12th episode. Not only is he THANOS, he goes around pretending he’s not. There’s constantly moments where he creates matter out of nothing, followed by pathetic attempts at humility. It gets to the point I genuinely feel like an idiot for watching this show, I mean this guy should at least show some kind of reluctance before he cures the unknown, incurable illness or cleanses the entire biome of impurities. They take the fun out of everything. Surely they understand that with these shows the fun is in the journey not the end result. Yes the end result must make sense but from the get go, we very quickly understand that sense doesn’t exist in this dimension. Every time they introduce any type of stumbling-block for the MC it’s fixed within the hour. There’s no lessons to be learnt no opportunity for any meaningful development for the characters. I’m not fond of the nature of this MC. Blueprints aside surely they can’t keep making this same archetype of MC. He’s goalless, directionless, inoffensive, giddy, obtuse(dense), addicted to nice worthless gestures. Classic self-insert strategy so they don’t have to spend any effort in advanced characterization and deep and rich stories. The MC then periodically preaches from chapter 1 the modern day guidebook of self-serving sensibilities. The kind of "wisdom" you find all over female social media, utter poppycock. Immersion is also something that is misunderstood upon watching this show, this is made abundantly clear when the MC spontaneously activates his magic. His magical abilities are akin to a war crime in writing, he doesn’t have classical magical abilities which usually have strengths, weaknesses, specialization for/against certain elements or for tasks. He possesses essentially reset buttons, clean slating, physics-defying modifications, cheat codes, auto resolves all whilst being tremendously physically strong and durable. This ends up removing: - All Tension - All Curiosity - All Immersion - All authenticity of the power system - All Hardship, gratification and joy What’s left for us to enjoy? The comedy is trash, the dialogue is undeniably rushed chopped up script with no interpersonal revisions and improvisation. Intersexual affection? Forbidden! They handicap themselves because they’re awful at writing and it ruins the show entirely. You’re supposed to have uncomfortable moments and hardships so when it’s eventually corrected it creates that satisfaction. If you’re a first screen viewer like myself, having undivided attention during viewings, get ready for a real struggle. I’m at a loss for words, a bumbling bunch of events that have the loosest threads between them. The Arcs exist as a means to an end, whatever happened inside them does nothing for the characters and are about as forgettable as possible. During these mini-arcs, there’s barely any dimensions to the characters, what they say or their thought processes. Despite this poor representation of people they never fail to shove in absurdity and jocularity into each sequence. It’s so pronounced in it’s love of mocking itself that the novelty of it wears off. The more you watch shows like this you start to understand the difference between animated and written/drawn work as well as how closely intelligence is linked to humour. They will almost always choose comedy over proper respected and well executed scenes in these modern works and it just kills the mood. It’s so easy to throw a gag in here, or to do the same obtuse idiot routine. What’s left when you waste time with this stuff is empty-shell characterization and the absence of proper story. Whilst the Anime adaptation magnifies this, the Manga has it still laid bare. On second thought defending the manga might be a mistake it’s still the same foolish plots, and twists that are just an insult to our intelligence. You are exposed to the sheer monotony of dialogue, till you enter the acceptance phase. You know a show is bad when you spontaneously imagine the reality of voice actors saying the lines. Particularly this Ayasa Itou, who plays the mascot character, getting paid just saying “Pee, Pee, Pee” in slightly different tones on each of her lines. They mix in a few improvised baby noises, variations of high pitched wails, cries, whimpers and all of it did nothing for me. Usually you are supposed to adore the cute mascots, then you wish ‘oh wouldn’t it be cool to have one of your own’. On the contrary I couldn’t stop thinking about the ways I could put a bullet in this pint-sized screeching terrorist. Though I mention the voice actors here they aren’t the culprits, but rather the script writing. They adapted an egregious amount of 62 chapters in these 12 episodes and it’s just too obvious that the script suffered unrelentingly. Recalling the rest of the cast, the interactions, the banter, it brings tears to my eyes. An assorted waterfall of moments that shook me to my core, evoking vigorous emotions I didn’t think possible. I paused the video uncontrollably several times, I needed a break to take in the sheer mass of expository remarks and curious gestures. I basked in the sweet, sugary relief of those breaks, because it was all complete garbage. Outside of the MC we have nothing, they should have thrown away this companion nonsense and gone solo the whole journey. At least they could have actually made the MC a real person and given us real development. These characters are NPCs they exist to give fetch quests into puzzlingly, perilous, places, tell you unwanted exposition about their worthless lives, and be saved by divine power from the MC. It sounds like a video game, but before we go down that path let’s respect video games, at least you felt life when you read the text boxes. The more I watch these shows the more I understand why there’s this idea that these Manga/Light novels are an escape. There’s this huge culture of discretion in Japan, that completely disappears when they begin writing these work…

First and foremost, forget the title. Although there is resource gathering in this show, it is exceedingly shallow, having the over-used trope of the MC having "Analysis" as a magical ability, which allows him to pick up anything and everything worth any amount of money. The whole resource/material gathering aspect is only there to keep the plot progressing forward in other ways. Realistically, although the MC considers himself a "material gatherer" after a few episodes, it's more the fact that he's extremely honest about wanting the "slow life" and "cute girls", so even though he's busted OP, he thinks material gatherer is a nice niche to slot into to have said slow life. The rest of the show boils down to "adventurer party isekai" and does not deviate from that. The MC is OP, has OP comrades; I mean, this is far from a novel show, so if you've seen any of the plethora of other shows in the same vein, you've seen this show as well. I don't really need to explain it. I guess the difference is that this show could potentially be considered part of the iyashikei sub-genre, given that almost everyone in the show is nice, friendly and has "good morals", there are no stakes and nothing really bad happens to the MC, and if it does (like in one episode), the MC cleans up and sorts it out post-haste. It's a very chill, light-hearted show, despite the fact that it tries to cover some heavier topics later on. Turn your brain off to watch it and you'll still understand what's going on. I suppose one bit of praise I could offer this show is that the MC's companions are fleshed-out, have character arcs and are actually likeable characters, which isn't always a given in a show like this. It reminded me very loosely of Black Summoner in this regard, although I'd still consider that show miles better than this one, especially because the MC in "Material Gatherer" is pretty damn bland and does not go through much development, outside of him understanding the world he's in a bit better after a while (he gains some common sense). Clayston and Brolite have much better arcs and are far more interesting characters compared to the MC in all honesty. As for Bee, well, it's like the author wanted to include Pokemon in there somewhere, but didn't know quite how. It'll be up to each viewer to decide whether they mind hearing "Bee? Bee-Bee! BEEEE.... Bee..." 3000 times across the series. That's about it for this show. As I said, if you've seen any other "adventurer party isekai", you've seen this show, so it'll be up to each individual to decide whether this is too much deja-vu, or if it's a "I'll watch it to chill out" scenario. 6/10 (Fine) and Mixed Feelings. Definitely won't be for everyone and definitely not a standout of this season.

Proper isekai 6.5/10 -A standard protagonist who consciously reacts to a fantasy world. --The Protagonist actively seeks to experience new things in another world, which contrasts his previously mundane lifestyle on Earth. This desire is what leads the pacing of his slice-of-life story. ---The Protagonist goes on mini-adventures often ----Good Fantasy MUSIC, sometimes very immersive -----Nice Fantasy elements (although somewhat generic, they aren't shallow and are sometimes 'unique'.) ------Proper cast of side characters (no harem on the horizon and no cardboard NPCs) Among isekai anime, this is a proper show. Among anime in general, it's easy to call this generic 'slop.' But I don't think it's trash, because it serves its purpose well. If you dislike annoying 'cute' pokemon type characters, you might dislike one crucial side character. I didn't find them annoying though.

This is yet another average trash isekai anime, and while I like isekai, especially trash isekai, this misses the mark. The animation is average, but the animation and character design is bad, which makes it look subpar, it's ugly and there is no escaping that. When it comes to the story, early plotlines are predictable and characters are bland, the pacing is slightly 'off' and as a result this series struggled to hold my interest and about half way through I did find myself watching some more enjoyable series as a palate cleanser until I forced myself to finish it. Somehow it's just a bit dull and I don't know how they managed to achieve that. I like slow life anime, I think if it stuck to the core premise of the MC being a gatherer and just did a slow life series focused around that and did it well, I would have enjoyed it. But this went down the generic average path where the MC is actually an adventurer who is so self-less and plays down his abilities to the degree that it is annoying (other series have done this and it is annoying when they do it too) with characters you really just don't care about as they are only given character development at the point we're supposed to care about them which makes it just feel forced, rather than develop the character first so we care about them before we hit their 'story arc' Even though they went for the generic option this could have been enjoyable as a trash Isekai, the kind you switch your brain off for and just enjoy its over the top non-stop hijinks. All the piece are here, it's just ineptly put together I think this is what is so annoying about this series, it's not bad per say, it's just mediocre and as such manages to become dull at times.

I like Isekai, I have no problem with the genre for the most part, and being OP is not an issue with me. One thing I dislike is how frequently the protagonist are wanting to keep low-key and hidden, but I've more or less come to terms with that. But somehow this took it a step further, its not just wanting to be low-key, but he actually seems outright annoyed and bothered. They want to paint him as someone that wants to help, but then he turns around and just complains. He doesn't appreciate his advantages, he understands he's strong but doesn't want to be bothered and everything he gets involved in he acts like he'd rather do anything else. It's honestly very off putting. The animation is okay, everything is average. I could tolerate the show if the MC wasn't so dis-likable. He's not bad, hes for all normal tropes your typical OP protagonist. But he's not badass, hes kinda whiny and hypocritical. The main appeal of these kinds of shows is switching off your brain and enjoying the power fantasy. He fails in that aspect. I don't recommend.

“A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai” sits firmly in the mediocre-to-okay range. It’s not offensively bad, but it’s far from good. Watchable? Sure. Worth your time when there are countless genuinely great anime out there? Not really. That said, I did find some enjoyment here and there—but it comes with so many caveats that I’d struggle to recommend this anime to almost anyone. First and foremost, this show is painfully generic and inoffensive. It’s exactly what comes to mind when people talk about “isekai slop.” The characters are the clearest example of this. I finished the anime and can’t remember a single character’s name. They’re nothing more than trope-filled cutouts with no depth, no real personality, and no meaningful character growth across the entire season. Their only defining traits are that they’re good in combat—and that’s about it. The dialogue doesn’t help either. It often feels like it was written by a 10-year-old, with interactions that have no real weight or relevance to the overall plot. The show plays things so safely that there’s never any sense of danger. The main character is absurdly overpowered, so every fight has a foregone conclusion: he wins. While some battles can be visually entertaining, the underlying issue remains—there are no stakes. Even when facing supposedly dangerous enemies, you never feel like anything could actually go wrong. Secondly, this anime feels like a cheap imitation of better isekai series. It borrows familiar elements without understanding why those elements worked in the first place. It’s as if the creators skimmed a few preview images and trailers from popular isekai, stitched together some tropes, and handed the result to a writer with very little imagination and zero interest in taking risks. The end product is exactly what you’d expect: low-risk, trope-heavy, and forgettable. The story isn’t outright terrible, but it lacks creativity and relies almost entirely on genre clichés. Any enjoyment I had came from the occasional interesting ability being shown—not from the narrative itself. Lastly, the story structure is a mess. The main character randomly gains new abilities with little to no explanation. You’d expect some kind of training or study, but none of that is shown. On top of that, despite being marketed as a “gatherer,” the MC largely abandons that role after the first few episodes and just drifts from one generic adventure to the next. The plot constantly sidelines itself, dragging on as the cast travels aimlessly with no real tension or consequences. The problems they face are simplistic, predictable, and resolved with minimal effort. So, should you watch it? I wouldn’t recommend it. That said, it’s not completely unwatchable. Even in its generic nature, there are brief moments of fun. I just don’t think the enjoyment you get is worth the time investment. 5.5/10, Mid—and easily skippable when there are far better anime competing for your attention.

"Slow burned Isekai " I like when story takes time to set up world building instead of rushing the plot . Our mc is overpowered which mostly happens in most of Isekai but instead of full on aura or fighting mode , he decided to live a slow burned life without gaining any attention spotlight. Premise isn't very intresting or catchy , some people might find this as slop Isekai but I enjoyed definitely. Sol+Isekai is literally my weakness ,I just can't resist . Visuals are good , no cgi monsters , decent fantasy ost , cool background themes etc . The side theme which i liked is food unfortunately , it's very limited in content ( no full on adventure cooking Isekai ). The ending is perfect and satisfactory . I don't think there is a need for another season but I won't mind seeing it . Overall it's a decent anime and other things depends on your taste .In my opinion it's watchable and enjoyable.

It's so different. The first half (more like 3/4) makes it seem like it's going to be isekai slop (it still is). But then it randomly got a little interesting, to the point where it would be disingenuous to put it at the same level as most isekai slop. The supporting cast surrounding the MC is much more bearable compared to other shows. There's no big titty princess, the random loli, the furry, etc. Not saying these characters make the show worth watching, but they are HARD carrying the cast. The MC is the poster boy of slop, with his defining feature being that he's tall as shit for some reason. They make a point in the beginning that he isn't given any clues on what his abilities are, but then willy nilly decide he knows all sorts of magic. You could argue that his magic is pretty basic, like "clean," but how the hell did he figure out he has a spell called "Deperate Barrier," or that he could pull a massive crystal out of his ass which works when he says "start," and there's one egregious case, but I couldn't find when he said it (you'll know if you watch it). And the villains? There's one, maybe a few more if appearing for a few frames fits that role. This show is pure sunshine and rainbows. Nobody is truly evil, and there are no complex schemes being made. Some characters also have some sort of memory illness. There's a pair who bully the MC for looking weak, and then when the MC proves them wrong, they aren't surprised and actually look like they don't give a fuck. They made a point to show these bullies and they do nothing??? Overall, it's a different type of isekai slop, a somewhat unique crew and story. Maybe isekai slop is evolving? Probably not, just my wishful thinking.

TLDR: If you know ball and enjoy slop isekai fantasy this is in the mid range of watchable and is what my score is based on. I went into this expecting another Isekai slop of the season and was right. It started out decent, our MC meets a big dragon who recognizes he has talent then goes away(?) leaving MC with it's baby dragon. They didn't showcase the impact the dragon had on the land very well until it felt like they were trying to make certain plot points relevant. MCS Party: (I do not retain any names ever so sorry) The baby dragon Bi: Hearing it constantly go BI BI! Got old quick. They're clearly trying to make it a dragon Pikachu. However Pikachu has range this thing only knows high pitched squeals. It's cute but doesn't get any development after MC received it. Next we get a cool Lizard Man companion. He's well known in the land and strong. I appreciated his first actual companion being Male. It's always nice when we don't have a harem accumulation. He was a cool addition to the party. Horse God was easily my favorite addition. Her attitude and choices aligned with her being a god who said fuck it we ball. She had quirk but wasn't over the top, and had genuine use to the party. She alone brought this anime up from a 5 to a 6 for me. I think our first female addition being portrayed as a mature and wise woman was also very refreshing. Oh incest intersex high elf. They could never make me hate you. (S)he's? aggressive and strong but knows what they want and is funny to watch. While their main story was! Interesting! I still like their character. There is nothing to say about MC. He is a normal run of the mill Isekai MC oh geepers don't wanna get into too much trouble but trouble finds me guy. He is a slice of bread. I have to give bonus points for no Loli pdf bait as those are almost always around in these shows. And essentially no fanservice? W However I have to retract those points as our MC has a "Clean" ability and he cleaned an entire village of people..... I thought they were being inclusive and including black characters...... turns out they were just "dirty" and they turned white after he cast it...................... Unsure how we let that one get through.........? At least we got an interracial elf baby? All in all its mediocre, nothing ground breaking or unique. Another Season Another Slop Fantasy Isekai. If you like this genre go for it. If you want something to thrown on to half watch while you clean this is perfect.

Another generic isekai of the season. If you don't like mediocre isekai, skip this. Plot This is more like a slice of life, so, there's not much plot going on. MC dies (probably due to overwork) -> god makes MC overpowered -> sends him to isekai. MC just joins adventurer guild as a gatherer to sell materials, and slowly gathers friends / party members while helping various people and somehow keeps making the world a better place. Review Positives: - we have a cute baby dragon as the first party member and it's really adorable. IMO, this is the primary attraction for this series. - MC does like cooking monsters, so, we get a little of that "campfire cooking" vibe. - There's some funny moments (eg: dirty elf, obese elf goddess), and the show is generally pretty chill. - The ending song is pleasant. I watched the ending for every episode for the cute sleeping dragon. - very little fan service. Negatives: - Except for the cute dragon, everything else feels low effort. And that makes it hard to get invested in serious/emotional parts of the series. There's some bad editing too, as the scenes just jump places without any continuation. - MC can be annoying due to the "humble attention whore" trope - where he claims to want to live in peace, but also shows off his god tier powers anytime someone needs his help. Overall My score is high just for the baby dragon and some comedy. Without that, there's very little to recommend here.

want to rate it 5 average ngl but rate it 6 instead because pegasus women joins the party, NOW HEAR ME OUT! i've watch a tons of isekai like this where they build into party wether it was for harem purpose or just story purpose, now for the first time in isekai history (correct me if wrong) a good ass women of women i mean lady like literal ready wife material joins in in this joke power underbalance party for this overpowered mc so i was flabbergasted by this even more so the anime wasn't bult for harem or romance route sht but before watching this anime if your experiencing watching the same way as me expecting this elf will become mc's wife or etc.. turns out its not cause the reason is *spoiler* anyways i was devastated by this like A LOT like some sort of plot twist kind, after that i know that pegasus girl will join the team because of opening visual song they have but i assumed it was a girl so wasn't expecting much THEN TURNS OUT IT WAS A WOMENN!!!!???? i was sooooooooo shocked by this that my mouth just stays open for seconds lmao, *pegasus shows up* *revealing her voice stirs me nothing* *pegasus turning into human* *me: WHAT!??* *that human form was an adult lady women!!!*, human female adult body+unfamillar VA women voice+personality of a lady the creator built her into=ascend to heaven which strikes me too much SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! NOW every time she turn into pegasus and party rides into her i always have dirty minded of *riding her*..... in short yea im just downbad for her can't help it its like some sort of love at first sight its just it didnt ingrain into my heart yet when she was still in pegasus form anyways aside from that anime wasn't great actually dont watch it but mixed on recommendation cause i just want people to see pegasus lady

Overall, I wouldn't want want to watch a season 2. It had some cute moments but felt very generic. The characters weren't very unique and overall it felt like a worse Campfire Cooking in Another World. The good parts: I really liked the gathering aspect and the guild. The art was nice and felt modern. Not so good: I liked where they were going with the gathering but too many elements were added in. By the end, it felt like a completely different anime. Also it didn't feel like the main character had any emotion which made everything feel stiff and surface level.

If you want to just relax at nothing serious and this one suits your palate, just go with it. It's what it seems to be. Yes, this one is just a kind and easygoing childish fairy tale about overpowered omnipotent kind of human mage in isekai calling himself material gatherer (although Clean master would suit him more) and his no less overpowered native companions just doing much whatever they want, saving everyone on the way and solving everything just on a whim. Nothing more, nothing less. The story flows on a totally positive note, there's nothing evil or sinister in it, all opponents are trivial and exist just for the sake of being vanquished easily or to become fantastic (no less) food. Technically speaking, the art is quite decent for the genre and budget, leaving not much to wish. The only drawback here is background music which is definitely lacking in variety, and also many things happen just in silence while the heartwarming story aura definitely could certainly be much better and more enveloping if the bgm was right. So, not a waste, but not anything great that will leave any impression either. Just a thing to kick back and relax with. Don't be wary of the rating of 5, the 5 is exactly the average grade, if we reserve one of 10 for only the things that captivate you completely which I do. P.S. If you feel it's slow and sloppy, it will get more interesting towards the end. Not much, but yes, it'll move to its better side a little.

In my opinion, anime are good and worth watching (except for dramatical murder) although, I probably wouldn't have finished this one were it not one of the only options I had downloaded for a flight. It's very cool this anime had an intersex character and while it was portrayed as negative to the in-world society, there was explicit acceptance of the character by our protagonist. Although, I can't really comment on whether people will feel seen or triggered. It's mid Isekai. That's cool, sometimes it's exactly what we need. What makes it a bit worse than average is that's sometimes it feels like it's missing story components. I could not tell you how tall our main character is. It's somewhere between 5-8 feet because they don't tell you enough about the world to use other characters as reference points. I watched this straight from start to finish yet I started some episodes thinking I had missed an entire arc.
