I can't describe with words my joy watching this wonderful trilogy. The third film had the difficult task of tying up loose ends and providing a satisfying conclusion to the Ooku arc, and this film not only succeeded but doubled down and surpassed the novelty factor left by the first film, trough action scenes with very ambitious cinematography, greater dangers, and an intense pace, but less convoluted than Karakasa. The final plot twist was very well built and brought an absolutely cathartic final showdown that lived up to the legacy the franchise has built over these almost 20 years. An example to be followed.

OH MY GOODNESS! MY BODY CAN'T STOP SHAKING FROM ALL THE PLEASURE I'M FEELING WHILE WATCHING THE ULTIMATE CLIMAX! It's the perfect ending to the Mononoke trilogy. And I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the EPITOME of avant-garde anime. 👑✋😌🤚 Breathtaking storytelling, accompanied by breathtaking art. And the music perfectly enhances the experience, especially during the intense and suspenseful moments of the film. I can't fathom how the animation studio managed to create this final movie in the span of less than two years. This masterpiece should have taken 10 years to create. It's like 10 legendary Picassos manually animated this final chapter. 🎨 The plot twist was so shocking that it gave me goosebumps and left my jaw on the floor. 😲 And the COLLABORATION OF TWO MEDICINE SELLERS?? 🤯 Am I even allowed to be this happy? After the film ended, I involuntarily stood up and clapped so loudly while tears of joy streamed down my face. 🥹 To whoever created and directed this movie: Thank you, and I love you. 🫶 Do I recommend watching it? DUH, ABSOLUTELY! You're missing out on SO MUCH if you don't watch this. 🤌💎 𓃵GOAT 🤌💎

What a marvelous closure to the trilogy! I couldn't have wished for something better, really. Chapter III is, of course, a visual masterpiece. However, it's equally fantastic in the way it ties together the threads from the previous two movies. The references are gentle enough not to be too on the nose or too faint. I do recommend a quick rewatch of Chapter I and Chapter II if it's been a while for you. Hebigami is even more intense in uncovering the raw nature of human emotions and desires than the previous two chapters. It resonates on a visceral level with the viewer and perhaps doubly so with the female audience, considering the trilogy's themes, which reach their heights here. Storyline-wise, I didn't expect a DOUBLE culmination at all! The whole sequence was nothing less than an artistic treasure and a feast for both the eyes and the heart. Small nitpicks: - The animation inside the snake was either a weird production choice or a cost-cutting measure. It wasn't good at all. - A few pacing issues here or there, but nothing detracting from the overall coherence of the story. Yes, there's a difference between the original series and the trilogy. For some people. the current Mononoke would be too gaudy. But I believe the movies have been true to the overall legacy of the Kusuriuri universe. In fact, let me be a bit dramatic - they are a testament to the conflicting, yet beautiful nature of human existence. 9/10!
