The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt
Marinate1016
Opposites attract romcoms certainly aren’t anything new, but as we know by now, it’s all about how well executed they are and Ponsuka is a very well done romcom featuring two of my fave leads this season. It’s extremely wholesome, surprisingly well paced and developed and has one of the coolest art styles of the season. It’s a must watch for romcom fans, even with this insanely stacked spring lineup. Plus, there’s no weird sexualization of minors or fanservice. I’m a sucker for the opposites attract trope, so most of them are worth a shout for me, but with Ponsuka I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing and emotional depth of the characters. Togo, the class monitor and stickler for the rules and Poem, the “delinquent” with a short skirt that breaks the rules. On the surface, they couldn’t be more different, yet in reality, they have a ton in common and end up bonding over their shared interests and similarities. The best part of all, is that Togo isn’t some corny pervert like most male leads in this genre, he’s just too good of a kid, to his own personal and romantic detriment. Poem gradually helping him learn to sit back and enjoy life instead of having a stick up his butt all the time was fun to watch. The two leads have genuinely great chemistry that ensures there’s never a dull moment with them. Togo definitely isn’t a realistic depiction of a high schooler, but I think his straightforward nature was so refreshing. He’s honest to a fault, never holds back what he’s thinking and that actually leads us to having some of the most romantic progression you’ll see in a one cour show. It seems like it wouldn’t happen here because of how odd Togo is, but when you think about it, he’s not the sort of person to drag out what he’s feeling so it all makes sense. Conversely, Poem is certainly your average high schooler and I find her love of Precure and traditionally childish things to be very relatable and endearing. I’m also a huge fan of the fact her fashion isn’t done for fan service, but purely as a means of expressing herself. She’s extremely intelligent and thoughtful. Great character that’s easy to fall in love with. The side couples here are also really good. Tbh, I was probably more invested in Nadeshiko and Kogori’s relationship than Togo and Poem by the end of it. They had such a great opposites attract dynamic in their own right and I liked the whole gyaru Nadeshiko gimmick to get closer to Kogori. I could’ve done with a spin-off story focusing entirely on them tbh. I was also a big fan of Motoko and Yuu, but I wish we would’ve got more screen time for them. Poem and Togo’s sisters were also such a wholesome and pure friendship, I need more of them! I think the sign of a great romcom is when you lowkey like the sides more than the main couple. Big fan of the art style used in the show. It’s so colorful and got this unique palette going on. Very well animated and features some unique direction. It’s a very pretty looking anime ass anime and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s a shame this season was so stacked full of great romances because I think this is one of the best shows of the season, but it was just so difficult to distinguish itself in a crowded room. It’s right up there among the best with a great couple, genuinely funny as hell and one of the prettiest looking shows this season. Ponsuka gets 8 out of 10

I feel like I could be a bit more appreciative of Ponsuka if it came out in a slower season. For such a simple rom-com, the animation is pretty lively and colorful. The first half of the season has a good amount of laughs, with the main characters making a pretty strong pairing. Once the other characters are introduced, the main characters get less focus, which is really to the show’s detriment. Ponsuka slows down a lot in the second half as it follows all of these characters around. It shifts focus away from the comedy to your typical anime hangout setpieces, ending on a beach trip followed by a culture festival. I don’t think this would be a problem if the story kept up the comedic tempo it had while introducing its cast, or if it kept the main couple at the forefront. The problem seems to be that once the show got its housekeeping out of the way, its attention was pulled in so many directions that it became indecisive about its identity. Is it a wacky comedy or a relaxed slice of life? Is it about a couple and their friends, or is it a full-on ensemble piece? It wouldn’t have to answer these questions if it just kept the laughs or the feels coming, but its cast is full of holes. The main characters start out strong, but got progressively less focus. Poem’s friends are hilarious, the council members are boring, the second most interesting pairing of the president and vice-president is almost entirely carried by the vice-president, and the main character’s families have some cute moments, but are mostly just… there. I also appreciate what the show does with Togo and his autism coding, even though this season I much preferred the autistically-coded character in Kirio Fanclub. I like his history and how that informs who he is in high school, how he acts towards Poem. I just wish that the middle of the season didn’t leave him and Poem out to dry. The finale managed to remind me what a sweet couple they are, but it also split focus between the other characters in a very hit-and-miss fashion. This is a good rom-com, but it’s just good. It occasionally manages good humor and emotion, but it’s not focused or creative enough to stand out from its peers.

Rom-com...... Well they were both in this anime but not really in equal measure. And neither of them executed very well. TLDR:It starts well and falls apart towards the end Now for people who want the details, let's get into it: Well... From the title of this show, you'd expect fanservice really. But outside of the beach episode there's absolutely nothing goin on. And it's a shame too becasue the art is really good. But still, the title is more of a bait and switch. The skirt part of the gimmick evaporates almost instantly. And the klutz part is only used as a gag. The comedy.... honestly it's hit or miss. I would lie if i say i didn't laugh at least a few times. But it's nothing wow. It's digestable overall. The romance.... uuu boy. They got the cutsey part pretty good. But the romance itself... Yeah, nah. The romance is just bad. At least the romance between the main characters that is. The side characters aren't that bad honestly. Anika and Izubuchi have the best thing going on really. The romance between Nadeshiko and Kaoru started out pretty nice as well, but the more they interacted the more pissed i got at the dude. Like come on man.. And am i the only one who thinks the MC and FMCs relationship started too abruptly? I feel like the showmakers realized it's coming to an end,and he didn't want to end the anime without a damn closure so they rushed the relationship. Quick intermission before i get into the biggest reason i can't really recommend this . We need to start a witch hunt for whoever gave Tasaki and the MC's childhood friend haircuts, cuz that's just awful man.Like jesus christ what are those haircuts no joke. Just go bald at that point. Intermission over. The biggest reason this show flops at the end is the last episodes obviously.... And the FMC. Poem is just very toxic. Those last 2 episodes really highlighted this. Honestly as simple as the MC is she just doesn't deserve him. She knew already what kinda dude he is,and she still decides to suddenly start ignoring him.... Not to mention at the end SHE BLAMES HIM for them not going around the festival, even though when they met she actively ignores him, making it her fault.Crazy how someone like her came from that mother of theirs. Yeah.... it starts out decently, and half of the ships just end up miserable and/or annoying. I wouldn't really recommend this honestly, but the fact you could be watching way worse is what keeps me from simply giving it a "Not Recommended".

This anime is a fun and wholesome watch from start to finish. The warm art style perfectly matches the relaxing atmosphere and story. One thing I really appreciated was that the main characters don't suddenly fall in love out of nowhere. Their relationship develops naturally, making their interactions feel genuine. The friend group is wholesome, the character development is satisfying, and the series avoids many of the forced romance clichés that can make similar shows frustrating. The male protagonist is dense, but not in an annoying way. His behavior feels consistent with his personality rather than existing just to drag out the romance. If you're looking for a light-hearted romantic comedy with lovable characters, natural relationship development, and a cozy atmosphere, I would definitely recommend giving this anime a try.

If I had a nickel for every romance show that has a confession in the first season, I would have many by now, which is weird, because Rent A Girlfriend exists. (3) There is more than one this season, btw, and RAGF also aired this season. A perfect roasting session, incoming. 😂 How did I find this? MAL seasonal anime list. Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?) It looks so 90's. I have to bite. I love the art style so much, and the main girl looks so appealing. Platform Bilibili Global (South Asia & Southeast Asia) and Crunchyroll. It's also available in some countries through Prime TV and Roku. The review; Plot/Story It's your average romance comedy story of a clumsy class monitor and an outgoing girl. Well... not really. You see, Sakuradaimon Togo, the clumsy class monitor, has a bizarre collection of friends. Like literally! While Kohinata Poem, the outgoing girl, has average friends. Both clashes created a friend group while also developing love. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's SOLROMCOM! Not just the main couple, but also their friends. I actually couldn't believe I hit gem with this one. Not only does this anime feel like your classic show in the early age, but it also hits the jackpot with how great the cast of characters is. You read it by yourself in the first paragraph of my review, right? Yes! They actually confess, in the middle of the season. Let me repeat that. THEY ACTUALLY CONFESS IN LESS THAN A SEASON! Rent A Girlfriend could never. Character Wacky. To be expected from the beginning, actually. I mean, you could already tell by the anime style that you would get just beyond the Earth kind of characters. I love it. OST/SFX Great OP and ED. The OST and SFX are also perfect. Two Thumbs UP! Animation Expressive. It's great to see how passionate the animator is. I mean, I haven't seen many Zero-G anime lists, but from a few I have seen and watched, I know they would pull through. I mean, it's the anime studio that did Grand Blue. Should I say more? 😂 VA Two Thumbs Up! Especially the dads of both MC. I love them so much, man. They're hilarious. The conclusion; Enjoyable I have to be honest. This is more enjoyable than Angel Next Door. I couldn't lie. Worthable Yeah. I think you would think this is worth the time. Delivery Fantastic! OG Sauce K Manga has it. Might want to invest in the manga after this. Overall 8.7/10 Just great all around. I would love people to watch this. NGL!

Easily one of the most enjoyable romance anime this season or this year so far. I'd say it's comedy first and romance second, but it works so well, it's a great watch. Premise is good enough, an unlikely pairing which leads to good jokes and storylines, the main characters bonding is interesting too. But really, comedy carries this anime, it's actually funny, I don't think there's a single episode where you wouldn't laugh several times, it's definitely funnier than many comedy anime out there. Romance might be secondary, but it still hits just fine. Poem and Tougo's journey was sweet to follow, both shy in their own unique and different ways, but somehow getting closer and closer, eventually developing feelings. They're charming characters that you just can't not root for, their connection felt really natural and sincere. The side characters get a lot of focus when it comes to romance too, but it doesn't really go anywhere unfortunately. Which leads to the last episode. Besides the main couple, there were many other characters and plot lines waiting to be concluded with the last episode, which just didn't happen. I'd go as far as saying that the last episode was almost unnecessary besides closing down the cultural festival arc. It sucks because episode 11 set it up so so so well, just for almost nothing notable to happen. This anime would benefit from a second season, but even as it is, it's still a great watch. Must watch romcom classic, solely because it's actually funny and has decent romance.

A surprisingly great experience. This anime was a really pleasant surprise. I went into it with fairly low expectations, partly because of the title, but I ended up having a genuinely great time watching it. It's a fun, easygoing anime with a cast of really entertaining characters. Most of them are exaggerated and larger-than-life in some way, but that's exactly what makes the whole thing work. The comedy can get completely absurd, with plenty of "WTF?!" moments where you can do nothing but laugh. One of my favorite aspects is the way the anime sometimes uses exaggerated or metaphorical imagery to represent what is actually happening. Characters will suddenly appear in completely ridiculous or impossible situations, but somehow those scenes convey their feelings or reactions perfectly. In that sense, it reminded me quite a bit of Grand Blue, and at times even Gintama. Not because they're necessarily similar in story or setting, but because they share that willingness to completely abandon realism for the sake of a joke and commit 100% to the absurdity. The romance is also handled surprisingly well. It develops naturally and at a comfortable pace, without feeling unnecessarily forced or dragged out. The relationships between the characters are one of the reasons the anime is so enjoyable to follow. Another thing that genuinely surprised me was the complete lack of the kind of pointless fanservice I was expecting from the title. Yes, there is a beach episode, but it's handled as part of the comedy and fits perfectly with the tone of the rest of the series. It doesn't rely on unnecessary sexualized shots or awkward situations just to appeal to the viewer. That was honestly quite refreshing. The anime also doesn't take itself seriously at all. It occasionally breaks the fourth wall, plays around with its own presentation, and constantly reminds you that you're watching something that exists primarily to entertain you. And honestly, that's a big part of its charm. Visually, I also really liked it. The art style is appealing, and while the characters are often built around fairly recognizable archetypes, their designs and individual quirks make them distinct and memorable. Obviously, this isn't some groundbreaking masterpiece, nor does it try to be one. And that's precisely why I enjoyed it so much. It's simply a really fun, charming and refreshing anime that knows exactly what it wants to be. A very pleasant surprise. I had a great time watching it.

8/10 The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt is enjoyable even though it doesn’t do anything different. While it may be the same old song and dance of popular girl meets socially awkward boy, Klutz and Skirt has everything you want in a comfy buddy love story. Bright visuals, expressive characters, and a feel-good romance about two opposites falling in love. The supporting cast are equally as fun and well developed. Poem is your typical “tsundere” archtype: violent and aggressive while being extremely sensitive and sweet. This trope proves difficult to pull off convincingly when there’s lack of stakes, petty disputes, and violent gags. Yet Poem’s aggressive antics aren’t totally romanticized and her relationship with Togo evolves at a comfortable pace. Klutz and Skirt doesn’t have the most compelling story but it still proves itself as a quality, endearing romantic comedy. +Expressive characters with dynamic, stylized animation +Sweet enemies to lovers story that isn’t bogged down by negative tropes -Generic premise; lacks conflict and richer backstory -Poorly executed finale that focuses on supporting cast

Just finished The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt and damn, that was way better than I expected. I went in thinking it'd be standard cute romance but ended up smiling like an idiot the whole time. 10/10 easy. Tougo and Poem are such a good pair. He's this uptight, rule-following class monitor and she's pure chaotic sunshine in a short skirt. Their awkward little moments blushing, shy hand-holding, dumb conversations felt so real. No endless drama, just sweet, natural vibes that actually made my heart flutter. Reminded me of my own clumsy high school crush days. The school festival with those random rap battles cracked me up. Totally unexpected but hilarious. Side characters actually mattered too, which is rare. Animation was a bit choppy in a few spots but the expressions and comedy timing were so good it didn't matter. Voice acting killed it, especially Poem. I finished it wanting more. If you like wholesome romance that feels warm and genuine, watch this. Already hoping for season 2. Super cozy and rewatchable.

This anime is a prime example of a unique romantic comedy anime. I really don't know why it's been so poorly received. The characterization is very good and unique, which doesn't make you hate even a single character. The precise and direct emotions without any silly games or conflicts make you enjoy the relationships that are formed. The main female character is a tsundere, but she's a lovable tsundere, not a tsundere that gets on your nerves. The male character is also honest with his feelings and makes you completely connect with the story. The story really went very honestly and beautifully, without clichés. The characters were all likable. The anime art was also likable.

tl;dr: + Funny + Solid cast of characters + Good artstyle - Gal Nadeshiko kind of bothers me While it's not perfect, Klutz and the Skirt manages to make a funny romcom with a solid cast across the board. From the main 2 to the friends to the parents to the student council, there's not a single character I dislike. However, there is a plot point that grinds my gears, so I can't give it a too high score. --- Romcoms are hard. Thanks to the deluge of them we get, you either have to bite the bullet on all of them or become incredibly discerning because I find that a lot of romcoms aren't worth the paper they're printed on. So when I saw a show called "The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt"... I'm not even sure I even paid attention to it but whatever attention I did pay to it, I swiftly binned it because I was like "yeah, right, like that's gonna be good." And then a friend of mine showed me a couple screenshots of the girls and I was like "well... maybe I can check it out a little bit" And then it turned out to be the surprise hit of the spring for me. I do have Dorohedoro S2 above it but this is actually my best new anime of the season for me. It's got a really solid dynamic between The Klutzy Class Monitor and The Girl with the Short Skirt I think "klutz" is a bit misleading because, to me, a "klutz" is someone who is physically clumsy which that's not what he is. I might've honestly checked it out initially if it sold Sakuradaimon's character better from the jump because he's "klutzy" in the sense that he's kinda stupid and overly dedicated to being a class monitor which I love those kinds of jokes. It also has an interesting way of, like, handling a male MC because he's not shy about sharing his feelings, he's just too stupid to realize what he's saying and doing. As for The Girl with the Short Skirt, Poem kinda gives off a Rumiko Takahashi-esque tsundere vibe if Akane were a gyaru, if that makes sense? Like, it's much less adversarial than an Urusei Yatsura or a Ranma 1/2 but one of the side characters even comments how Poem's vibe is outdated and I prefer the term "classic" because Poem more than carries her half of the relationship. Klutz and the Skirt also goes for it by pairing the side characters together too (something it pokes fun at at the very end, which I appreciated) so even if you don't necessarily enjoy Klutz and Skirt's dynamic (although I imagine if that's true, since it has so much to do with the 2...), it's also got one or two other relationships it's building in the background. In particular, my favorite character in the show was Yamato Nadeshiko, the class president. It's surely not the first to do this but in lieu of being a more demure prez, Nadeshiko is kind of a force of nature, having the Aura to force her will upon people. It helps set up things in the show having the girl with the power be unafraid to use it but it was kind of a breath of fresh air that it treated the meganekko as a bombshell. She even gets a swimsuit montage, for the hornier among us. ...However She's first introduced walking around as a gyaru which I didn't mind because it kind of sets up Nadeshiko's personality perfectly and it was a temporary outfit, etc. However, they set her up with her childhood friend and it ends up centering around him being attracted to the gal Nadeshiko, not the normal one. Which, like, is certainly a plot they could do but honestly, it ended up being the weakest of the 3 relationships they were setting up. Idk, like conceptually, it should work, maybe it's because it's a bit TOO dumb or because gal Naddy's not, like, that attractive, but it wasn't really all that funny and it didn't hit home for me. Speaking of characters in glasses, I also really liked Tsukishima. The inherent concept is kinda funny but seeing them take the idea of "lion in the library" to a ridiculous conclusion led to some funny jokes and "chud" Tsukishima was arguably, in my opinion, the funniest character in the entire show. For those with the eyes to see, it even had a nice little yuri coupling with the imoutos of the main 2 characters. They don't get, like, THAT much screentime but I thought it was cute. Is this anything, like, super groundbreaking? No, but I thought it was a funny little romcom that'll likely get buried in the seasonals. Funny, good cast, if you like romcoms, it's worth checking out imo.

The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt was an unprecedentedly entertaining show! I couldn’t stop watching it from start to finish! I went into it expecting it to be filled with fanservice and was truly shocked - in the best way - that it was actually the opposite. The main character, Poem, and the love interest, Tougo, were well developed and thought-out characters whose individuality charmed on screen… especially when put together! Their chemistry was great! The plot too was engaging, well written, and its animation style was really eye-catching! I’ve been loving this seasons animation, particularly with shows like go for it Nakamura where they all don’t look the same, but also have nostalgic elements to it that make them feel both familiar and unique. Overall, I really enjoyed watching this show so much! For the few critiques I do have… I will say I’m not a fan of any gender being physically violent towards one another. I definitely didn’t love her throwing punches at the other guys, and wish they showed that she was strong in another way. And while I did love most of the characters, there were definitely some that I didn’t love as much as the others… for instance the male characters that were overly aggressive for no reason. It would have been one thing if it served a purpose but it really didn’t. And while I really did love the relationship and dynamic between the main character and love interest, I wasn’t loving the fact that it took 12 episodes for them just to hold hands. That’s said, it is still definitely worth watching!! This is a truly splendid romance show!

My first romance anime/manga (and review!) and I don't regret it. This was 100% better than I expected, I came across this from a Tiktok list and I see the hype. One of the most enjoyable anime's I've laid eyes on. The first episode perfectly sets up everything, introducing the characters and plot in a funny way. The whole thing is just a basic high school love story but the author does an amazing job at making it deep by making the readers feel attached to the main couple. I finished the anime and caught up with the manga in a day. I love the art style and it's simple plot, the whole thing is nothing but funny, wholesome, and entertaining. However this may be bias since this is my first romance anime I've watched but the wholesomeness the author illustrates is amazing. Just thinking about this while typing is bringing a smile to my face from how much I've enjoyed this. I have nothing bad to say about this anime, I love this and I believe many others will feel the same.

It is hard to review romance anime since anything you say about anything in it is bound to give away the ending even if you don't describe any of it. I usually avoid romance anime since I've been burned so many times and I won't explain. This one was intriguing, I mean the title promises a girl in a short skirt so it's not like I was repulsed... a setup where she runs up against a cartoonishly determined class monitor was unique enough so here we are. The first thing you notice is the art style- studio Zero-G does a very nice job especially with the color palette. The red and magenta and purple skies were so nice to look at. They do the intro with super thick lines that sort of looks like... SuperGals? Maybe it's a reference to SuperGals (or Powerpuff Girls). I think some people might complain about the style of some of the characters like Togo, although the gigantic class Vice President Kaoru used the visual style to hilarious effect each time. Even the animation was very good most of the time- until the last episode for some reason. Whether you like a romance anime or not is down to whether you like the leads- and these two are a very funny pair. Togo is so over-the-top that his stiff wording creates outrageous reactions from Poemi including unintentional flirting, the first few episodes were the perfect hook and for the first time in a couple years I was addicted to a romance anime. This was very fun and pleasant to watch, the comedy was really clever and all the jokes land with the exception maybe of the rappers- although I sort of admire how committed they were to that concept and it's not easy to pull that off. This is one I would recommend even if you don't like romance. When people try to claim all anime 'looks the same' these days you can point to this. I liked everything about it, some of the middle episodes were especially strong. So you can't go wrong with this adorable anime, it's nice shows like this still get made.

Klutz and Skirt is a pretty basic romcom that follows common tropes you see in other romcoms, and it felt like there really wasn’t anything unique about this anime. Still, despite this, the characters were entertaining to watch interact with one another, which I think was a pretty big positive, and the comedy was funny and genuinely enjoyable. The art style is kind of weird, and I honestly don’t know if I like it or not. It's addicting to look at, but it feels soulless at times or low effort if that makes sense. I don’t think this is a negative but just something I wanted to point out. If you are a fan of romcoms that follow basic tropes and focus on mostly comedy with little bits of rom, you’d like Klutz and Skirt. I recommend this show. 7/10

Ponsuka has and will be my favorite romance anime from this season and most likely from this year,im a dub guy and i haven't seen a romance hit the same spot that kaguya sama did, but the casting for the dub was unbelievablely great, so many a list vas most of them coming from the best dub work in kaguya. This is the sort of anime that doesnt scream in your face but taps your shoulder and doesnt overcook Its art style is beautiful and is something quite unique and all the characters build around themselves to show great value to another season to show off how great this anime really is A fantastic watch for all romance fans and especially love is war fans,

Sound (9/10) The production value here is incredibly solid, particularly when it comes to the audio. The voice cast does a phenomenal job; every actor matches their character’s distinct personality perfectly. To top it off, while the opening track ("Hitorigoto" by osage) does a great job setting up the show's high-energy vibes, the ending theme; "Heya to Garakuta to Watashi" by MEminor is a banger. Story (8/10) At a glance, the setup seems like a standard, everyday school-life comedy. It heavily relies on the classic "uptight, disciplinarian boy meets rebellious, popular gyaru" trope. However, the show really shines in how it handles its narrative progression. What starts as purely episodic, funny interactions actually builds into some romantic progression. This isn't just limited to the main duo of Togo and Poem, either; the show does a great job giving actual relationship development to the side couples as well, keeping the story fresh and rewarding by the time you reach the finale. Characters (10/10) Normally, massive ensemble casts introduced right at the start of a rom-com can feel cluttered or annoying, and I actually disliked a few of these characters when they first showed up. But the writing handled them beautifully. All of the side characters ended up growing on me as they showed off their individual quirks. Instead of feeling like useless background noise, the supporting cast actively elevated the comedy and chemistry of the entire show. Art/Animation (7/10) Produced by studio Zero-G, the visual style of this adaptation is incredibly vibrant. It features a bright, highly colorful pop-art aesthetic that perfectly matches the high energy of the comedy. My only real gripe with the visual presentation is one aspect of the character designs; the pointy noses, which I personally didn't like. That aesthetic choice aside, the animation itself looks nice and pops off the screen. Enjoyment (9/10) I found myself completely hooked on this show right from the very first episode. It’s an incredibly fun, breezy watch that strikes the perfect balance between lighthearted comedy and romantic growth. In fact, the adaptation did such a good job that it actually made me want to go out and read Takuma Yokota’s original manga to see where the story goes next. This review score is calculated using my personal weighted category formula: Sound (10%): 9 x 0.10 = 0.90 Story (15%): 8 x 0.15 = 1.20 Characters (20%): 10 x 0.20 = 2.00 Art/Animation (25%): 7 x 0.25 = 1.75 Enjoyment (30%): 9 x 0.30 = 2.70 Final Weighted Score: 0.90 + 1.20 + 2.00 + 1.75 + 2.70 = 8.55

Enjoyable romance show, with a handful of characters that i found enjoyable to watch. The show did like to throw the same jokes but not too much where it felt too repetitive. It knows how to take make things feel carefree and work with it jokes but also provide the seriousness required for story development. The I enjoyed the look of the characters as the animation and art style really fit them. Did feel hard trying to keep in touch with all the characters and cling on to their gags sometimes but the main duo carries the show. Nothing noteworthy for the soundtrack. And story overall didn't feel stretched, they don't force you to wait for another season for that conclusion (like some other romance). Would be happy to watch the main duo and friends do their usual shenanigans again. 7.4/10

The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt is an unexpectedly vibrant and energetic romcom. The contrast between Togo’s excessively strict adherence to rules and regulations and Poem’s more relaxed and laid-back attitude sets up a strong dynamic for our lead characters to engage in going forward, and the romantic tension that inevitably results from that gives off that nice sugary moé feeling. Watching Togo learn to be a bit more free-flowing as he interacts more with Poem was, while predictable, still fairly gratifying, and the wacky side characters they encounter during their high school days are, on the whole, hilariously charming, though there are definitely a few where the gag can grow old very quickly. Visually, it is similarly stimulating, with this easily being the best project Zero-G has produced to date. The excessive saturation of the color design, in particular the deep blue of the sky and the vibrant outfits of the characters, gives this series an aesthetic that sets it far apart from other school comedies of its ilk. The snappy pacing of the editing and comedic animation cuts also maintain a brisk speed across the whole span of the series, but also manage to slow down enough for the more contemplative character moments so that they can land with enough impact to feel meaningful. I can’t really say that it was all hits all the time, but it was more than consistent enough with doling out gags and feel-good teen yearning for me to say I had a fun time.

It's fine The aesthetic inspired of trigger animes is really interesting. The chara-design with angles, disproportions and facial expressions of characters are very lovely. And there are any funny moments where the realisation will be totally absurde. But if you want an exciting scenario, you'll be disapointed because there is no major interesting thematic who's gotten on. It's even a few much basic despite the character who have personality. There could maybe have a dissonance between my rating and my level of recommandation, but I assure that you must see it as a basic comedy without no many pretention, and this anime respect our waits.
