An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess

This is no different from your typical isekai villainess slop but from the mls pov. Its one of the rare watch where I died over 1000 times from cringe. It starts with a cliche troupe and continues to be cliche til the very end. The ml is your typical great at everything haraguro ouji who finds the fl so interesting that I don't understand why and its such a boring and overused troupe which I am already tired of. The fl is a plain stupid and kindhearted chara nothing special if you ask me cuz this is also a very overused fl setting. I didn't like how she acted childish even after remembering her past live where she at least should have been a high schooler but anyways cuz shes dumb. The ml is obsessed on this stupid fl for the very reason of "shes different from others, shes interesting, nobody made me feel this way" troupe. And the plot was so obvious cuz obviously they had to make the main heroine of the game the bad guy and how do they make the nice lovely heroine the bad guy? Simple, make her another stupid reincarnator like the fl so everything is easily messed up with the stupid fl included who apparently wanted everything to go the way like the game or something. And let me not get started on the fact that how the fl wanted to be a flower like villainess or something but there was zero proper attempts, why? cuz shes stupid and naive. There was another isekai about how the fl wanted to be a flawless villainess and I thought it was very boring but man at least that fl was way better at what she was doing than what ever the fl of this show was trying to do. Also the kindhearted dumb fl is so pure to everyone that everyone likes her and its no different from the very first villainess work I watched years ago with the same reincarnated in a game as a villainess with harguro ouji ml x dumb nice fl which is likely the og of villainess troupe (as the novel is from 2015) which is also why this show feels like a modified version of that work and then again the novel of this work is also from 2017 which is one of the early works of villainess troupe and its understandable that people liked it back then but now in 2026 where this has become a very common settings, its just not enjoyable, at least for me that is. I want to add that this work being from the mls pov doesn't make it anything special just cuz its rare in shoujo (or just cuz its in the villainess troupe). There are already really good shoujo stuff out there from mls pov or having the ml as the mc. If i had to point out what I thought was not bad about it was that they didn't make the heroine reincarnator extremely horrible but simply made her stupid and gave her a second chance, and giving a proper reason for the ml having the not interest in anything setting but lemme add that giving reasons doesn't magically make it good either as its still an old ml settings. I liked when the ml says he hated the fl for how she acted and I really liked the ending song which kinda just makes me emotional every time I hear it and thought it was a waste on this show. I wanna end with that I mean no hate or anything to anyone while I write this, everyone has the right to like or dislike something. This is simply my personal opinion on this work. The opinion of someone who liked this show is valid and someone who didn't is also valid. Its all about personal preference and my conclusion is that it was not for me.

We have a new member of the elite tier of villainess stories and this is the most surprising one for me because it seemingly came out of nowhere. I’d never heard of An Observation Log of My Fiancee who calls herself the villainess, but of course, being a villainess show, it was getting watched no matter what. First episode immediately pulled me in, I loved the vibrancy of the art style, the animation and Bertia was a very lovable protagonist, but that’s pretty standard fare for a decent villainess show. After a couple weeks, I realized there was something very special going on in this series and it’s mainly thanks to the unique way it handles the relationship between the female and male leads. This is the first show I’ve seen where the reincarnated villainess tells the love interest about the original timeline she’s trying to alter. This made things really interesting because we got to see Bertia and Cecil work together to get things done in a way no other show’s done before. It also created a really beautiful relationship between our leads which had just the amount of obliviousness and yearning I like in my romance. By the time that ship sails, it feels earned and they’ve become an irreplaceable part of your life. I’m going to miss these two and this show so much. Yea, the story is solid, but let’s be real, Bertia and Cecil’s slow burn romance is the best part of the show. Cecil helping Bertia prevent bad endings only makes him fall for her even more and of course in typical anime protagonist fashion, she’s oblivious to it which makes for so many hilarious moments. I do like how that eventually turns into frustration and a quite serious topic as the show progresses because I like a bit of drama and I’m very pleased with how it ended. There’s just something with this ship that resonates with me. I think it’s the fact that by the end of the show, they’ve both seen the best and worst of each other and remain committed to one another despite their flaws. They love each other wholly and completely for who they are, not idealized versions of each other. That’s the ultimate form of love you can have with your partner, something we all want and seeing them achieve that is so satisfying in this show. They truly complete each other and are one of my favorite couples. I found the conflict to actually be really interesting in this story too because while Heronia is cartoonishly evil at times, when you find out more info about her, it makes sense why she’d be so angry at Bertia and plot on her downfall. Seeing someone in the spot that you believe should’ve been yours is hard for most people to swallow. Yea, she does awful things, but by the end of the series I came to empathize with her quite a bit which is a testament to how well written an antagonist she was and the story’s overall point is. It’s not a Heronia bad, Bertia good sort of story, it’s a story about everyone making the most of a situation they’ve been thrust into. Things aren’t always ideal, but you can still turn them around. I really think that’s the message the author is going for with this story and you see that manifest in all the relationships and major conflicts here. Seize your opportunities. As I said before, the show looks amazing. Visually it’s among the best in the villainess genre. If Who made me a princess is the top of the top, it’s the tier right below. I really didn’t think Ashli productions would cook like they’ve done here, but I’m glad they did because the direction during some of the big set pieces is amazing and really took the experience to the next level. Incredible voice acting performances as well. The production values are never the priority of these sort of stories, but when they get a lot of attention, it really elevates the experience. Really can’t sing enough praises about this show. I’ve kind of made talking about it my entire personality on Friday(along with Kamiina Botan) so it’s going to feel so weird not having it to wind down my Friday afternoons anymore, but I’ll truly never forget the 12 weeks I got to spend with this cast in this world. It was as magical as the story itself. Thank you to everyone who worked on this show. Jisho Akuyaku gets 10, out of 10

I'm not typically a fan of isekai/reincarnation villainess type anime, but wow! What a breath of fresh air! Your PoV is that of the prince and not the starring villainess. He is portrayed as cold, calculating, almost demon lord-esque and you get to see how he grows thanks to the isekai'd Bertia who is all about telling Cecil from the get go that she's from another world and how she HAS to be the perfect villainess. She HAS to get it right so she needs him to play along. Cecil doesn't quite believe any of it, but it's entertaining so why not humor her? These are the sort of antics they get up to. This sugary sweet couple where Bertia is clearly trying her best to do "bad, nasty, evil" things while Cecil is in the background making sure that's not the case. She has a support system. She's actually the sweetest person you've ever meet, who most people don't believe to be a villain at all. Well. Except for Heronia. The "heroine" of this story. Their paths are trying to fit the narrative of their game that they were both isekai'd into. Except things have changed since, well, they're -people- now. Not just stereotypical predetermined characters, but the story changes because of their actions and differences from a cookie-cutter protagonist. This has both consequences and benefits for how it all plays out. It's a satisfying and fun story. Just like Cecil, you won't be bored. You'll get to a point where you have to know what happens next from what plays out... and you won't regret it.

Even if you are tired of the Isekai and Villainess genres, you have to watch this. It brings a breath of fresh air to a saturated market and wholeheartedly surprised me. The biggest twist? The story plays out from the viewpoint of the cold, calculating prince instead of the reincarnated heroine. Usually, the reincarnee is the main driving force who uses modern knowledge to manipulate the plot. Here, our "villainess" is just a clueless, lovely goofball who tries her best to fulfill her villainous role—even wholeheartedly accepting her tragic fate. Instead of a mastermind heroine, the real driving force of the story is the prince himself and the genuine emotional change she inspires in him. It’s incredibly refreshing, sweet, and highly recommended.

This was my show of the season. The only thing you need to know about how much I loved “An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess” is that I was enjoying it so much week to week that I caved and read through the manga around the time when episode 5 first aired, and I loved the manga so much that I re-read it, like, 3 or 4 times during the duration the anime was airing. If I were to rank all of the villainess anime that I’ve consumed since the genre got popular, this one would be in the S tier for sure. Watch this, and then wait with me until they animate the spin-off series.

An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess is, by far, one of the most interesting takes on the villainess subgenre I’ve seen so far, and perhaps my favorite since the subgenre first appeared in anime form with Hamefura. Rather than go the standard route of following the female lead after reincarnating as the villainess of an otome game, the focus is instead on the male love interest listening to the bizarre ramblings of his isekai fianceé and doing his to guide her down a path that will let them both be happy together. The sheer cunning and intelligence with which Cecil either plots a course towards avoid disaster for his betrothal or manipulates those around him to best suit his interests is immensely captivating, while also making his slow, but gradual growth from cold-hearted but bemused prince to loving partner and benevolent ruler all the more satisfying. Granted, there are a few moments that come off a bit rough since this is essentially a male insert taking control of a subgenre usually defined by female empowerment, with the subtle bit of fat-shaming in the first episode being a notable overstep, but on the whole, it consistently portrays Cecil as a deeply sympathetic character. Even the minor emotional faults he stumbles into along the way as he grows frustrated with Bertia desperately trying to set him up with who she believes to be the true heroine of the story make for some dramatically captivating low points on his way towards becoming a more complete person. The same captivation can also be found in both Bertia as the would-be villainess slowly growing into someone who wants to be with Cecil herself rather than simply guide him down the game’s scripted scenario, and in the scripted heroine slowly losing her grasp on reality as Bertia’s inadvertent interference causes Cecil to drift further and further from her grasp. It also helps that everyone in this series looks absolutely gorgeous. These are some of the most attractive character designs I’ve seen in a hot minute, and while both his appearance and demeanor bear an awfully striking resemblance to Aqua from Oshi no Ko, Cecil remains his own distinct entity both in his narrative arc and the many ways in which he is portrayed visually. The brilliant color work and strong sense for framing and general cinematography makes this a series that’s hard to look away from, be it the tension in the more dramatic moments or the humorous flair added to the comedic scenes. This is a series that truly understands the tropes that it is deliberately toying with, but never shows any outright disdain for the genre trappings it has steeped itself in, making this possibly the biggest surprise of the season that consistently left me eager to start the next episode.

Overall your generic cute Villianess Isekai story. there were few moments where the clichés felt overdone but at this point it wouldn't be a Villianess Isekai without them. I do like that the story follows the Male leads perspective and not our Isekai'd Female Lead. the artstyle and animation was lovely and you can tell when they poured their 110% into some scenes. The only real negative I have is the fact that Bertia was portrayed as overweight in her evil timeline and that our Bertia, the good one, Is skinny. it visually feels like its sending a bad message to the viewers. I understand that Bertia put in the work and she did it because she wanted to. But I can't help but feel a little negative towards it.

We have another Otome Game Villainess anime, and for me the bar by which I always judge these by is Hamefura and the unfortunate reality is that only a small few have managed to meet the grade, often they start well but then fall apart or fail to stick the landing by the end of the season. So, how would Observation Log hold up? Well, even though it is quite different to Hamefura it manages to capture the same feeling. The comedy is where this is at its strongest, and its own twist on the genre is refreshing and helps it stand out amongst the crowd, Bertia is a very strong compelling main character and the dynamics between her and Cecil are a main factor in keeping you watching. The supporting cast are mostly generic and forgettable with a few exceptions, Kuro, Marquis Noches, and Heronia, but that comes down to them not being given that much time or development as characters, we don't get to really know our other 'capture' targets and that is definitely an area in which this is weaker than Hamefura. The problem the series has is that it is more than a bit rushed, the pacing feels a bit off as it is seeking to sprint its way through the main story to wrap it up as soon as possible, I know this is a problem due to the Light Novel being only two volumes, and so the anime is only seeking to adapt both of those in this, but this is the same kind of problem Sword Art Online had with the Aincrad arc. A slower pace would allow for more time to spend with and develop the other capture targets, we'd get more time at the Academy with Bertia and Heronia, and the whole thing would not feel so rushed as we have the time skips then quickly race through two years of the Academy, and then more time skips at the end Cecil's character development is also a victim of the time skips and pacing issues, it feels like we go from the ice prince who starts to thaw, skipping ahead to him where he's now thawed out but having to realise it, we could have done with more of those early interactions with Cecil and Bertia Another anime of the season this can be compared to is Always a Catch! which this does have similarities to, but that has better pacing and the side characters are better developed, it would actually be a better series on those points alone, but the comedy doesn't land as well, this also definitely has a superior story for main arc, and Bertia wins in the battle of the MC So I can't judge this in a vacuum, I have to judge it against other series of similar type, and in doing so there are obvious places where this shines, but also these issues I mentioned it is a really good series as it stands and is amongst the best of the genre. I did enjoy it, but I can see where it could be better, and if it was better paced and spread out that would have meant more episodes, and I think even those who love this would agree, more episodes wouldn't have been a bad thing. I do want more of this, but it's wrapped up the entire story in one season, so unless they decide to adapt the sequel series too, we may not get anymore and that leaves me disappointed, this should have been spread across two seasons, and then give us the sequel. So the simple fact that I want to watch more of this should say everything there is about it, it is enjoyable, it is funny, just give me more.

I absolutely loved it! it was really fun and it had none of those extremely anoying tropes that end with hand holding like its some kind of big event like most other romance anime. I would have liked if some characters had more screen time like Kuro and her brother. Also I am bit disapointed at the epilogue. It was cut off so if they dont make a special episode I will be really sad. I dont understand why most anime dosent have epilogues like almost every manhwa does. It really feels unsetisfying if the anime end with something like they lived happily ever after, but dont show us even a bit of the ever after. Only few anime like fruit basket or Clannad showed it. So if you like these types of anime you will really enjoy this one. I heavely recommend it!

As far as princess/villainess isekais go, this is a weird one. What I liked about it: - the main character is actually the prince, Cecil, and the story is basically told from his perspective; he also has quite an interesting albeit problematic personality, particularly for this genre - the way they exploit the game isekai angle could have potentially been interesting if better executed - the first five or so episodes in which they are still kids are absolutely adorable (then it goes downhill) - I liked the end credit song What I disliked about it: - it started out well, but then the pacing became erratic; it felt like they were alternating between long fillers (basically trivial scenes) and then actually advancing the story in a rushed way, and some episodes were epically boring - the female lead is quite secondary, reason for which the romance itself feels hollow (it's more single-minded stubborness than love) - basically all other character except Cecil feel flat and uninteresting I think there were some good ideas here, but overall this was just another dime a dozen production and they didn't capitalize on any of its potential strengths. I gave it a 6 for Cecil, but in all other aspects it's a 5.

Who knew an inversion of the otome genre could be so heartwarming? This show is like catnip. Anyone who's ever had a love interest that's neurotic and exciting, bringing light to a boring, empty world will love this series. Bertia is so wonderful that there's an entire fan club for her in the show. Cecil is saved from psychopathic boredom and destruction by her dedication to him and to her "scenario", which he sacrifices everything to change. They truly save each other, and it's hard to imagine a world closer to Heaven than to be in their shoes. Of course, there's the typical otome tropes; the male interests follow the standard formula (meathead, super-effeminate, giga-nerd, consigliere), but they all have mini-arcs with girls that love them for who they are. The art style, the direction, even the opening/closing music and scenes are fantastic. This is one of the few shows I've dragged out watching every episode just to let the feelings linger a little longer. If you watch it, you too will join the Bertia Fan Club and cheer the two of them on. Man, this was just fantastic.

This was hands down the best villainess anime this season, and one very unique to that. It was an enjoyable watch because of that, and one of the hidden gems of this season. Animation and music: quite nice for low budget show. Animation was standard but solid, you can tell that animation team really put effort were it was needed. There was no noticeable low frames and the animation was vibrant and fluid. Music was also good, they went for 90's gaming retro music and I liked that touch. Nothing to remember but highly enjoyable. Overall - both are done good for a team with a budget. They really punched above their weight here. Characters: reason one why this anime shines. MC is actually a prince of the Kingdom, Cecil, and he is your typical perfect prince. He lacks any mortal emotion but in exchange he is blessed with very analytical mind. Able to outmaneuver his enemies, predict every possible outcome and come up with solutions for impossible situations. He is Emperor Augustus of his kingdom and everyone knows it. But his life is empty and shallow since he has no emotions and nothing interests him. And then you have Bertia, our villainess. She is exact opposite. Not too bright or analytical but she is lovable, honest, charming and cute. So much that Cecil gets an interest in her and that is how we get the name of our story. There are various other characters, from spirits to other nobles and heroine. But all of them pale in comparison to the main duo, who alone carries this show. Overall - main duo are unique and their dynamic is great. They are one of the main reasons to check this anime in the 1st place. Story: it is rather simple. When Bertia is introduced to Cecil as a future bride, she proclaims herself as villainess and vows to follow the scenario of the game in order for Cecil to be happy. Naturally, he finds this quite amusing and starts his dairy of daily observations. The story that follows from that is typical villainess one, with Bertia doing her best not to be oversized evil noble lady but example of proper, proud and empathic lady that every female is striving to be. During the course of the story Cecil recognizes this and helps her, growing as a person along the way. This is the center piece of the story and it works very well. There are other subplots regarding other characters, but they all pale in comparison to these two and lasts maybe for 1 to 2 episodes at most. THe attention is given to Cecil and Bertia as it should have been. Overall - story revolves the growth and life story of prince and our villainess and it is quite enjoyable experience. Overall grade: 10 for me, realistically this anime is a strong 8. The story and characters are unique enough to give it a try and their dynamic is too sweet. Over the course of the story you will get to enjoy them and to support their relationship. This anime is easy recommendation for me, especially if you enjoy villainess genre. The story is complete so you can enjoy it in one go. which is a great plus in these modern anime times.

"An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess" is one of the strongest romance anime of this Spring 2026 season. Despite what looks like an Otome games Villainess anime. The protaginst is not Bertia, but rather Cecil. One of the strong points of this anime is how it uses many troupes from Otome Game and Villainess anime. As the story has two characters reincarnated those being Bertia and Heronia. For both of these girls they try to stick to being players. As Cecil is a very much Gary Stu, but us a well executed type. As his interactions with them are very clever and well done. The show does a good job at showing why Cecil would aim to go against the path of the game which the girls aim to go for. The big thing this show goes for is what can romance bring to someones life. How that type of spark differs. It is clear the spark that Bertia brings to Cecil, but you can see it even with the other side ships. Production wise it was surprinsgly solid. Solid animation, good art direction and very nice sound direction to enahnce various scenes. This anime isn't just a must watch for shoujo romance fans, but any romance fans.

Unlike most otome game anime, where the heroine is annoyingly stupid, what I find special about this one is, first of all, that when Tia realized she had reincarnated, she immediately told everyone about it. Cecil understood it and actually found it amusing. Also, in this type of anime, there’s always some cheap drama caused by the original heroine, who is often reincarnated as well and treats the protagonist as the villain, even when our heroine isn’t following the original storyline. But in this anime, those situations were always handled smoothly, and the characters dealt with them in a mature and reasonable way. And the best thing for me is that it actually ended with the two leads getting married in the end. It was genuinely good.
Tms222
It is a good isekai, otome anime. I love the female lead (FML) and male lead (ML) characters because they both form the backbone of the story. The female lead is a tsundere, but she is very kawaii, so I love her just the way she is. I never felt she was annoying or taken to extremes. The male lead is a true protagonist because we see his thoughts in every scene, and he gets real character development. The story was complete; it never felt rushed, nor did it feel like it had filler episodes. The supporting characters are decent and get a little development, but I felt the game's original heroine was flat (she is not the main female lead). She is supposed to be an antagonist, but I never felt she posed a real threat. The music is good and sets the right mood, but the most impressive aspects are the graphics and cinematics because they look amazing. Whenever there was a close-up of the female lead's face, I wondered how it could look so good. Overall, if you like the otome game and isekai genres, you will love it, but if you don't like this genre, it won't be for you. 10/10.

A weird show. Not particularly unique but well crafted. What really helps is that we follow the prince here, which actually livens up the traditional Villainess formula. I don't think this will convert anyone to the genre but it is definitely one to watch for fans of similar shows. Bertia is a fun character and the observation log spin really helps make her actions seem fun and interesting rather than maddening. Unlike a lot of these villainesses she's clearly flawed, she has a bizarre idea of why things should go the way they should go but it makes you want to root for everyone all the more. It's a bit clever and has an excellent mix of comedy and drama. On the whole I commend this show. The art isn't the best but it serves the story. I will say I had to go to the sub over the dub.
Chubbydoggo17
Best romance anime since Ore Monogatari. There was a really beautiful sentiment in the anime that when you are negative to yourself and don't believe in your own kindness and goodness, it doesn't just hurt you, but it also hurts the people who love and care about you. You owe it to yourself to love yourself and be kind to yourself. Only then can you fully embrace and love your sweetheart and help others around you grow. Every female needs to watch this, you won't regret <3 This is not like the other otome game anime or light novels where the "villainess" is just perfect and everyone loves her no matter what she does. Bertia is emotional, energetic, and makes mistakes and doesn't have perfect judgement. She just like us frfr. This is also different from those anime in that, the main character falls in love, and it's true, genuine love. Other villainess stories I have read or watched seem to be more like reverse harem. This has none of that nonsense. It is a very beautiful love story that shows the complex emotions that we women go through when learning to love not only our sweethearts, but ourselves too. Honestly this anime had such a profound effect on my self image and confidence and I hope other ladies watching will feel that way too. This is no longer a recommendation, but rather a mandate: You absolutely must watch it! Every girl with confidence issues can relate to Bertia, and hopefully will be reminded of the purity and kindness in their own heart, even on days they don't feel it! Not even to mention that the romance in the story was so good. It didn't even feel like anime - it felt more like a romance that will last through the ages like Romeo & Juliet!

Started off as a simple reincarnated villainess story with a twist - - the FL is actually striving to be the best villainess! The first few episodes were simply enjoyable if you turn your brain off. Just a funny rom com with a very energetic female lead and a genius male lead who is calculating and not in touch with his feelings... There's friendships and there's the heroine turned villain. It was all predictable and I didn't think too much or question why the male lead was a genius and how he managed to solve problems as a little kid. Just figured it was anime logic. This anime went from a 7/10 to an 8/10 when they shed more light as to the reason why Cecil *had* to end up with the heroine and I was pleasantly surprised with how they explained Cecil being a genius (not anime logic) and also with his character development. Overall this was an enjoyable watch and I'm glad I decided to give this a try.
Chika1017
A villainess anime that isn’t centered all around the “villainess”, I’m here for this! If you are looking for a typical villainess isekai anime, you’re at the right place, but better written and better done. We basically follow Prince Cecil, a genius bored protagonist that meets Berthia, her fiancée to become wife when they become adults. The twist is this is all originally an otome game and Berthia came from the real world. She wants to be the best villainess but is trash at it and blablabla you know the drill. The aspect I enjoyed the most about the anime is Prince Cecil himself. As a character, he is very composed and not at all perturbed by Berthia’s weird announcements of the “future” as she knows what is supposed to happen next since it’s an otome game. It’s actually nice how Prince Cecil is comfortable with the fact that he is not in a “real” world. It matches his character a lot, even if some people find it kind of stupid, I think it’s realistically how he would act based on his personality. As for the storyline, I think it is the basic storyline of any villainess anime, where the heroine actually acts as a villain, but I do feel like the ending in this anime is so much more satisfying. This type of anime always has a happy ending for everybody, but for some characters in this show, their fates were not all pretty. As for the animation and art, art was great, made Prince Cecil’s hot (WHEN HE IS AN ADULT) and Berthia cute which were the goals. The animation is fine. The sounds are ok, OP and ED were ok too. I believe the best parts of this anime are really its story and its protagonists. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot, 8/10

Villainous isekai anime are proving once again that they are the best trope within the isekai subgenre. The villainess trope always seems limited. Even so, there are always anime that seek to bring a new approach, to do something different, something that feels fresh. In this case, it was telling the story from the perspective of the male protagonist, a native of this world who has to deal with the inconsistencies of his fiancée who claims to be a "reincarnated villainess." Bertia and Cecil make a good team as protagonists. Cecil is the archetype of the "perfect" character, the one who can do everything on the first try without even trying. This is an exaggeration typical of anime to highlight how implausible it would be for a native of a fantasy world to hear about heroines, villainesses, harems, and routes. Bertia is more like a tornado. She is energetic, unpredictable, and always ends up creating chaos in her wake. His goal is to make Cecil end up with the heroine because that's the best course of action for Cecil to be happy. Cecil has to be this perfect character to thwart all of Bertia's plans, because he wants to be with her, his beloved. At the same time, you need this pseudo-robotic character in his emotions so the audience can better understand the impact Bertia has had on the protagonist's life. Bertia, being a character with few significant appearances, doesn't have the time to be the one to show you the changes in Cecil. Therefore, this personality is the one that best fits within the story. What the work handles worst are its secondary characters. Even its main antagonist, the heroine, is used very little and in very few ways. The protagonists are a black hole that steals all the attention. Even so, the secondary characters contribute to being forgettable. If you remember the names of three characters from the academy, you'd genuinely surprise me. Even those closest to the protagonists don't become relevant. Zeno and Kuro, the main spirits, appear on screen very few times. Often, they're there to deliver a punchline, but without any real involvement. The same goes for the rest of the cast; they exist, they're there, they breathe, but for narrative purposes, they only do the bare minimum. The ending is beautiful in itself. Of all the anime I've seen, I think I've rarely seen a wedding ceremony. A complete wedding, from the moment they reach the altar, the rings, the kiss, the bouquet, and all the traditions that come with it. It's such a beautiful episode that it makes you want a Cecil in your life. Who wouldn't want a man who solves any problem just to keep us happy and by his side? Bertia won in life, and honestly, I envy her for it.
