Don't let yourself get ragebaited the real title is" I confessed to a girl in hero party and watched my friends developing their love relationship " . It went to downhill faster than a bullet train literally garbage writing even a generic romance is much better . The biggest flaw is animation , character designs got horrible ep after ep at some points characters were looking like chubby MacDonald addict . What's the point of having a good title when you don't gonna work on that line except mc everyone got chick and lived happily. Our mc turned out to be a beta male who watched from sidelines after helping them to fix relationship issues . When finally he got chance he hugged his girl instead of kissing literally ruined a positive moment. The pacifism which anime tried to show is bad too in every possible way . Nothing more to say , not recommended definitely. Save your time .

This was one nice romance isekai anime. Despite not having good animation or some epic battle plot it still manager to punch it's own weight because it's romance story is so good and it's development is amazing. Animation and music: sadly, this is easily the worst part of the show. Animation is not as bad at the first glance, the book like effect they did to the background is very unique. But when the fighting scenes came you can notice that they were really on a budget. The music is industry standard, it's doing it's job at creating the mood and nothing much else. No memorable tracks as well, although the unique songs sang at the middle of the show were nice. Overall - you can tell that this show is on the budget, which is really shame but at least the usual slice of life scenes look decent. Music is average at best. Characters: Now this is where this show really shines for most people that enjoyed it, as most of the characters are very well written and their interactions and the way how they managed their personal issues are presented splendidly. Yoki is our MC, he is reincarnated person and he is a member of a daemon race. At the start he is just lazing around, not being interested in attacking humans or generally being a bad guy. But that all changed since he meet Cecilia, who gave him such an inspiration that he turned his life around for the better. Cecilia herself is pretty bland, but she is caring and cute levelheaded young maiden. It is her influence and charisma that shape the show and the development of so many people around her. We also have members of hero's party who each have their own dilemma and somewhat of an redemption arc. And finally we have daemonic servants who were under Yoki's command, who joined their captain in trying to fit into human society and live a decent lives. There are few others I must mention like Kleiman and Sophia, who are former adventurers turned into guild substitute headmaster and chief maid. Then finally we have Gar and Tina, gargoyle and local peasant girl. Each and every one of them are likable and relatable to a way and their presence just make the entire thing that much better. I would say that core of this story and why is it so good are all of these characters and their interactions. Overall - the story really shines in this area. Easily the best part of the show and it's somewhat of a saving grace. Story: sadly, I have mixed feelings here. The story is about Yoki who was member of daemon king's army, but after falling in love with member of hero's party Cecilia he decides that he will try his best to become human and win over her heart in an honest and right way. The story from there develops into Yoki doing daily adventuring grind, hanging out with Cecilia and helping others resolve their life issues. The main issue I have with the story is how different from the manga it is. While the basic plot and story remain the same a lot of details get changed, and in my opinion it's for the worse. Last two episodes are especially guilty of this, if you read the manga you know what I am talking about. Suffice it to say, anime only watchers will not be that disappointed by the experience but those who read the manga will find it very interior version. Overall - the story itself is fine as it follows basic plot and it introduces some major events here and there. But the changes made from the manga really hamper it down. Overall grade: 10 for me, as I quite enjoyed it. But realistic grade is around 7. No matter how good the characters are and their development stories they still have to carry it as story it self is kind of bland when compared to the manga and animation is not great. Still, if you do not mind bad animation and average storyline then the romance in this anime and character development are more than worth it. That is I am recommend it to whoever might find some enjoyment in these two categories.

This is a series I wanted to like, and there are things I did like, but the issue is, there are also things I disliked, and so we are here So firstly, the initial plot episode and everything about the first episode I liked, the overpowered low ranked demon falls for the healer and confesses his feelings, gets rejected, but goes to live in the human world as an adventurer to work hard so he can confess to her again. It's a simple premise but there is much that can be done with it and it also allows it to stand out. It was cute, and I did like the romance elements, I liked the characters, there were things I did like, BUT... For me the series started to then slowly fall flat, it wasn't something I noticed at first but after a while I began to realise that it had actually become rather dull and wasn't really going anywhere. So much of the series was spending time on supporting characters and their relationships, their stories, it progressed their characters and not the main characters. This is supposed to be a romance focused on our main two characters and yet we don't spend anywhere near enough time with the both of them developing their relationship. So it feels like nothing happens for pretty much most of the thing, and then we get to the last few episodes and it realises that something should happen. Now here's the thing, I like a series that develops its characters and spends time fleshing out those characters, so in theory I should be all for the character development that the supporting characters and their relationships get. But not when it comes at the cost of the main story and at the cost of developing the relationship between the main characters. With this it's a case of which supporting character are we spending our time with this episode, what is going to be the distraction or supporting character issue that Youki resolves, and maybe we'll spend 5 minutes with Cecilia as our reward. It also spends far more time than it should on pointless adventures, and I get it, Youki is an adventurer living the adventurer life, but all it does here is make it feel directionless and in all honesty, boring, because you are wasting time on some side adventure that doesn't matter. It takes away from the focus and ends us feeling aimless as a result, you can't be everything, and a 13 episode season doesn't have enough runtime to try and be everything. You can't do the standard isekai adventurer anime route, and then also merge in a romance anime and not expect it to suffer because you will lose things from both, leaving you with a hybrid that is not quite there. There is a reason why the romance elements in so many fantasy adventure series feel so shallow, because they don't have the time to develop them because doing so would take away from the main story and what makes it a fantasy adventure. Likewise there is very little adventure in romance series, and what adventure there is usually is used to create a 'suspension bridge effect' to bring the main characters closer. The art style I don't care about, it felt like a choice, it didn't affect my enjoyment of the series negatively, it's not great looking but I wouldn't mark it down for it. In terms of an isekai fantasy romance Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu Season 1 does it so much better, same with Madougushi Dahliya wa Utsumukanai. When you consider the standard, and compare this to the competition, it just feels lacking. Which is a shame because it had a great premise, it had already done enough to stand out amongst the crowd, but it then failed horribly in its execution, and is just lacklustre. It's average at best, mediocre at worst

This anime is harmless fun, nothing more or less. Is it going to change the way you think of isekai, or fantasy, or any of the genres the series dabbles in? No. Does it have epic battles or other jaw-dropping animation? No; in fact, for half an episode the animation quality gets positively atrocious, while the rest is hovering around serviceable. However, by "harmless" I definitely don't mean "mindless". This show has some fun characters, and is willing to play around with its initial premise, instead of using it as a cardboard backdrop for the MC's wish fulfillment. Speaking of the main character, while he's certainly powerful, he's also a goofball and often needs the help of his friends to succeed. This is no power fantasy, there's no harem of girls vying for the MC's attention. It's just a cute story about the main character making friends in this new world, helping them out, and finding love along the way (or so he hopes) - one that also reaches a perfectly adequate conclusion by the end of the season. In the current anime landscape of overflowing cliché and adaptations that forever remain half-finished, I've come to appreciate that.

There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her" already sounds like one of those anime where you know exactly what will happen just from the title, but I tried going into this one with an open mind. Truth be told, the first episode was actually rather sweet, even if it was filled with stereotypes. The isekai aspect, being an overpowered demon, and so on are all things that every anime season seems to spawn five more of, but considering I liked the first episode way more than I expected, I settled in for the long run. And now, looking back at it, I kind of regret it. As the show went on, every episode became less and less special until it was just an empty husk of your average isekai with a romance twist. While our main character Youki confesses in the first episode, there are a lot of nonsensical and random side quests in between. At the start, it makes total sense for our heroine Cecilia to reject Youki since she has no idea who he is, but as time goes on, it becomes rather obvious that she reciprocates those feelings. The anime could have ended after two or three episodes, but of course it all gets dragged out across the full length of thirteen episodes. None of the other ideas or concepts were interesting or intriguing in any way, even though there are small bits of cute romantic development scattered throughout. In fact, there is a secondary couple that has much better development and ends up getting together rather quickly. But of course, our actual protagonists are awkward and cannot communicate their feelings, which causes the romance to stay stuck in the same place for most of the show. Now, I will be the first to admit that I did not see the events of the last episode coming. It was actually surprisingly adorable. I was not expecting a dual confession. But the problem is that it just does not feel earned. There was not enough development in the episodes before to make it feel natural. It actually feels rushed, like the last episode just wanted to end things with a bang rather than build a progression that makes sense. All of this is eventually capped off with an extremely awkward hug, which does feel in character but ends up being unsatisfying and lackluster. The confessions also lacked weight, and I feel like the characters could have said so much more. None of the characters were memorable, and the art style was very simple. The music was average at best, and the only thing I can really praise is the voice acting performance by Kana Hanazawa for Cecilia, which was fantastic as usual. You know how people always say "Never judge a book by its cover?" I usually believe that, but sometimes you really can tell exactly what an anime will be like just from the title and cover alone. This anime ended up going exactly how I thought it would, and I was left disappointed. There are some decent moments hidden in between, but I feel like it's not enough to redeem the rest. I cannot fully recommend watching it unless you are specifically looking for a stereotypical isekai with a romance twist that plays out exactly how you would expect.

I went into There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her expecting some dumb but enjoyable fantasy romcom comfort food. You know, the kind where you turn your brain off after a long day and just vibe with cute character interactions. And honestly... that’s pretty much all this anime is. The problem is, even for that, it felt weirdly empty. The biggest issue for me was that the story barely feels like it’s going anywhere. Episodes just kind of... happen. Characters talk, blush, misunderstand each other, then repeat the same dynamic again next episode. By the halfway point I kept waiting for some actual direction or conflict to appear, but the show never really commits to anything. Romance barely progresses, fantasy plot feels like background wallpaper, and the “hero party” setting could honestly be replaced with almost anything. It’s one of those anime where after finishing an episode, I’d sit there thinking “okay but what was the point of that?” The male lead also didn’t leave much of an impression on me. He’s not terrible, just painfully average. Same with most of the cast honestly. Nobody annoyed me enough to hate them, but nobody really stood out either. The comedy missed more than it landed for me too. A few cute moments here and there, but nothing memorable enough that I’d ever revisit clips of it later. Now for the reason this somehow still got a 5 instead of a 3 or 4. The female lead carries this anime HARD. Her design is genuinely cute without trying too hard, and her voice actress did a really good job making her feel soft and comforting. There were honestly scenes where I stayed interested purely because her voice was relaxing to listen to. Sounds silly maybe, but sometimes one character is enough to keep an otherwise mediocre show watchable. She had this calm, slightly shy energy that made the slower scenes more bearable. But outside of that? I really don’t have much positive to say. I’m honestly getting tired of these fantasy romcoms that recycle the same setup over and over without adding anything new. Cute girl. Bland guy. Light teasing. Tiny misunderstandings. No real stakes. No meaningful progression. Roll credits. It feels like the anime equivalent of eating plain bread repeatedly. Not offensive, not terrible, just forgettable. I don’t regret watching it, but I also know I’ll completely forget most of it in like two weeks except for the female lead’s voice. 5/10. Extremely average anime carried almost entirely by one cute character and good voice acting.

Every season, the anime industry rolls a giant gacha machine labeled "Fantasy Romance." Sometimes you get something surprisingly wholesome. Sometimes you get something genuinely funny. And then... ...sometimes you get this. There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her is proof that having a good title means absolutely fucking nothing. The title promises romance. The anime promises progress. The author promises absolutely nothing because he clearly has a restraining order against satisfying endings. Story: 4/10 The premise is honestly solid. Guy gets reincarnated. Joins the Demon King's army. Falls in love with a girl from the Hero's party. Confesses. Done. You already have a better setup than half the romances airing this year. Instead... The author looked at that premise... Looked back at us... And said: "Nah." The main romance gets less development than the average Skyrim NPC. Meanwhile every side character suddenly becomes the protagonist of a better romance anime. Everyone gets a girlfriend. Everyone gets emotional moments. Everyone gets relationship development. Everyone gets closure. Except our MC. This mf spends the entire anime acting like fantasy Dr. Phil. Helping everyone fix their love life. Watching everyone confess. Watching everyone kiss. Watching everyone live happily ever after. Bro somehow became the third wheel in his own fucking romance. Characters: 4/10 The MC isn't terrible. He's just... the biggest beta male I've seen in quite a while. Actually, scratch that. He's not beta. He's pre-alpha. Bro has negative testosterone. The heroine CLEARLY likes him. The universe itself keeps giving this man free opportunities. Every episode I kept thinking: "Surely THIS is where he finally grows a pair." Nope. He fumbles. Again. And again. And somehow... He keeps discovering entirely new ways to fumble. It genuinely became impressive. THAT Scene Then we reach... THAT scene. The moment. The climax. The scene the entire season has been building toward. They're finally alone. She's looking at him. He's looking at her. They're standing inches apart. Finally. Kiss her. Come on. DO IT. ... ... ... HE FUCKING HUGS HER. A hug. Not a kiss. Not even a cheek kiss. A fucking hug. Brother. Who raised you? A Golden Retriever? I genuinely paused the episode because I thought Crunchyroll skipped a scene. Nope. This evolutionary dead-end voluntarily chose a hug. I've seen middle school couples with stricter school rules show more affection than this guy. At this point I wasn't even rooting for him anymore. I was rooting for literally any other dude with functioning hormones. Animation: 2/10 Jesus Christ. This anime somehow discovered negative budget. I swear the character designs get worse every single episode. Not even "slightly off-model." I'm talking full-on witness protection program. Sometimes the characters look normal. Then the next scene they look like their faces were reconstructed from police descriptions. Episode after episode it somehow gets worse. I genuinely started playing a game called: "Will they still look human this episode?" The answer was usually no. There are scenes where the characters have the facial proportions of a melting potato. I'm convinced the animation studio was deleting keyframes instead of drawing them. Blue Lock Season 2 looked at this anime and said, "Damn... that's rough." Usually anime improve over the season. This one looked like the animators were slowly selling their drawing tablets to pay rent. By episode twelve I was expecting stick figures. Soundtrack: 6/10 Opening is decent. Ending is cute. Everything else immediately evaporated from my brain the second the credits rolled. Final Thoughts This anime commits one of the greatest crimes fiction can commit. It wastes an amazing premise. The funniest part? I'll probably still watch Season 2. Not because I think it'll suddenly become good. Because after watching this absolute beta male dodge intimacy for twelve episodes... ...I need to know what he'll do next. If he fist-bumps her instead of kissing her next season, I'm giving this show a fucking 1/10.

Overall Rating: 4/10 I personally did not enjoy this anime at all. The overall execution of the story feels very weak, and it suffers from the same repetitive tropes we see in almost every generic fantasy or reincarnation series. One of the biggest issues for me is the lack of depth in the antagonists and the conflicts. The enemies in this series feel completely flat, with no solid motivations or realistic behavior. It seems like they are just thrown into the plot to create artificial trouble, which makes the action scenes feel empty and uninspiring. Many viewers have already pointed out how badly written the villains are, and I completely agree with those comments. The main characters are equally predictable and don't show any meaningful growth throughout the episodes. Even though the art style is acceptable, it cannot save a plot that has no uniqueness or stakes. Everything happens exactly how you expect it to, leaving no room for excitement or surprise. If you are looking for an anime with a well-developed plot and interesting conflicts, I would recommend skipping this one.

You already know what this is... This is anime that I like to refer to as fantasy/comedic fluff. (it just happens to be an Isekai) And as for me, I simply love it. And honestly, this particular anime does it perfectly. For me (and I have to stress this a lot) it was a laugh out loud / minute. But as I've stated before, I love this type of anime. I wouldn't take a show like this and pit it against say, a ReZero, or Jobless Reincarnation were the love for the show comes from enduring hardships and trauma, and when said trauma is resolved, it's a fantastic feeling. No, this anime is all sugar! It's feel-good fluff. I didn't have to get sad or upset at all watching this. I just laughed a lot, and that was exactly what I was looking for. And now that I've received a healthy dose of comedic fluff, I think I'll go watch something dark, like Goblin Slayer, or Made in Abyss. Then I'll come back for more fluff!

This is the kind of fantasy romance that feels like it was generated by feeding every light novel cliché into a blender and hitting "puree." The result is a bland, flavorless mixture of overused tropes, forgettable characters, and romance so safe that it might as well be wrapped in bubble wrap. The biggest crime isn't that it's bad. It's that it's aggressively average. The protagonist has all the charisma of a loading screen. His personality can be summarized as: "nice guy." That's it. No complexity, no interesting flaws, no memorable moments. He's less of a character and more of a vehicle designed to move the plot from one generic romance scene to another. And the heroine? She's cute. Congratulations. Unfortunately, that's where most of her characterization ends. The series expects viewers to become invested in the relationship simply because the characters are attractive and occasionally blush at each other. Chemistry requires actual interaction, not just standing near each other while fantasy music plays in the background. The fantasy setting somehow manages to be even less exciting than the romance. Heroes, demons, adventurers, magic, monsters. Everything is technically present, yet none of it feels meaningful. The world exists purely as wallpaper behind the dating simulator. What makes this especially frustrating is how little ambition the series has. It never takes risks. Every conflict is resolved exactly how you'd expect. Every character acts exactly how you'd predict. Every episode feels like you've already watched it before in three different seasonal fantasy anime. By the halfway point, I wasn't wondering what would happen next. I was wondering how many more times the show could recycle the same awkward romantic misunderstanding before running out of excuses. The animation gets the job done, the voice acting exists, and the soundtrack is there somewhere in the background trying its best to be noticed. Nothing stands out because the anime itself doesn't stand for anything beyond being disposable seasonal content. This isn't a trainwreck. Trainwrecks are memorable. This is the anime equivalent of lukewarm tap water. It goes down easily, leaves no impression, and five minutes later you'll struggle to remember what it tasted like. If you're desperate for a fantasy romance and have already exhausted every other option, maybe give it a shot. Otherwise, there are far better romances, far better fantasies, and definitely far better uses of your time.

My review of Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita node Kokuhaku shitemita in short: boring, emotionless, and very basic. I have quite a few issues with this series, so let’s start with the visuals. It’s extremely simple. And to be clear, I don’t need an anime to look amazing to enjoy it—“decent” is usually enough if the story carries it. But that’s not the case here. Many scenes are static, and the few fights it has lack any sense of tension or excitement. Everything feels artificial—cardboard fights in cardboard settings with cardboard characters. Then there’s the story… which is supposed to be a romance. The protagonist, Youki, works for the Demon King after being reincarnated into this world (yes, another isekai). The hero’s party is supposed to defeat him, but they can’t because he’s overpowered. At some point, he meets Cecilia, one of the heroines, falls in love, confesses… and basically decides to ditch the Demon King and his former role altogether. And this is where things fall apart. From that moment on, Youki stops being the Demon King’s subordinate and essentially becomes Cecilia’s subordinate instead. Their dynamic is just awkward. It’s mostly Youki constantly pushing and insisting, while Cecilia just goes along with it without really committing to anything. There’s no clear indication that she actually has feelings for him—she’s just… there. It feels like that classic situation where one person keeps chasing someone who barely reacts, just tolerating their presence. And the ironic part is that some side characters have more believable and developed romantic progress than the main couple. That alone says a lot. Honestly, you don’t even need to watch the show to get the idea—just look at the key visual. You’ve got Cecilia walking forward like she’s minding her own business, Youki trailing behind her like a loyal puppy, and the side characters in the background actually looking happy. The poster already tells you everything you need to know. Overall, the series lands in a big “meh.” It doesn’t stand out visually, narratively, or emotionally. If you’re looking for a romance, there are much better options out there. In the end, it’s a show that fails to properly deliver on what it sets out to do.

I really wanted to like this anime, it has some good ideas, but the execution definitely isn't there. The most interesting couple aren't even the protagonists. The animation is not good, the art is alright, there are some interesting ideas here and there, but I can't recommend anyone to sit through 13 episodes of this unless they really vibe with the story, enjoy bad stories with these tropes, or just want to finish the anime they started no matter what - like me. The protagonist is usually very embarassing, which I guess you can say is a normal trope in these types of things. He's apparently a human that reincarnated as a demon, but that only becomes somewhat relevant twice in the plot, and the word "relevant" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. This is only tagged as an Isekai anime out of a technicality, because if that fact was removed from the story, nothing would really change. Also, his "chuuni" behaviors were really annoying for me, I always wanted to skip the scene whenever he would start acting like that. The protagonist's friends, the other monster guards, are actually quite endearing, but Happiness is the most well developed in the series. We learn a bit about her past and her trauma, she finds someone that cares for her and their relationship develops along the anime. It's one of the good things this has to offer. Duke is a nice side character but doesn't do much other than help the protagonist when he's necessary and Shiek barely does anything other than be a cute kid and heal people. Cecilia, the love interest of the protagonist, can be an interesting character at times, but is very boring at others. I honestly thought there would be more development on the way she sees things, her life and her helping the protagonist, but the anime gets quite generic with them after the first few episodes. The hero's party is also very simple. Raven, Happiness' boyfriend, has an interesting quirk and is the most well developed. Mikana is also an interesting character that seems to have some depth, but she's barely developed during the entire anime. Yuuga, the hero, is a charicature of a character and doesn't do much other than be comic relief. I am not a fan of the relationship of Gar and Teal. That stuff is always weird and left a bad taste in my mouth whenever mentioned. Teal is a non-developed character, and while Gar has a few nice moments, he doesn't grow much beyond that. In the end, I wouldn't tell you to not watch this, but be aware what you're getting into.

Overall this will be a hit or miss for most but personally I thought it was fairly entertaining so I'm probably going to rate this a little higher than most people. It's a simple isekai romance where the isekai part doesn't really matter. A story about falling for the cute priest and then working your way in human society as a demon. Just being nice and helping people for the sake of helping people not for fame or glory, just purely to make yourself in your mind worthy for the person you got a crush on for the typical feel good stuff which I think was done well enough. Can't forget the being true to yourself as well even if it is a bit cringey for others which I can relate with, sometimes it's fun to be cringe you know? I don't usually watch romance due to over saturation of the genre, it just not being my thing and the amount of fan-service stuffed in but I feel like this progressed well, it was simple and down to earth, didn't have much of the usual bad tropes in romance anime while also giving focus on other characters during as well. The friend group have good chemistry with each other which I really enjoy and how it shows they're actually friends instead of just filling in trope slots. Everyone has a nice character design and animation is fine. My favourite thing is the guitar instrumental that plays literally EVERY time Yoki is being cringe and/or a chuuni, whoever decided on this happening in the anime is a genius and I just love it so much like it was done specifically to humour me.

If you think "There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her" is a generic anime just judging by the name, then you're absolutely correct. It is a slopfest where our MC declares his love for the priest of the hero party, and through his adventures, he grows in hopes of being worthy of her. It is a light, relaxing story with a slow pace and very very basic story, each episode a new crisis or adventure emerges and our hero grows closer to his beloved or a valuable friend, it's easy to follow, the fanservice is limited to girls in underwear which is good given the industry standards nowadays, and I really liked that the story is self-contained meaning there an ending, although I don't know if they'll do a next season, I surely won't see it if that's the case. My main gripe is the story, it's an all-encompassing collection of clichés and dumb tropes. This feels written by an adolescent boy. It's not appallingly bad, but bad enough for me to feel like you should either watch it while doing something else or in 2x speed, or, honestly, better yet, just skip it. The pacing, in retrospect, is just a little slow, but it feels torturous because of the empty story. I hated the part where there's a psychopathic villain hurting our MC's friends and swearing destruction, and when our MC is done fighting, he goes into the usual "If I kill him, I'm no better than him" spiel.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I like the direction of the story. On the other hand, it got messy towards the end. I hate chunnibyo persona, and the fact that they make the MC have that "syndrome" makes my skin crawl. How did I find this? It's on Anione Asia's anime line-up for the season. Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?) I was thinking the story would be SOLROMCOM. But some episodes after the first, it turned into a chunnibyo-esque story. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Platform Ani-One Asia (South and Southeast Asia), Bahamut Anime Crazy (Taiwan), Bilibili Global (South Asia & Southeast Asia), CatchPlay, Crunchyroll, and iQIYI (Southeast Asia). The review; Plot/Story ISEKAI... Sorry, I have to say this to begin this section, whether this genre is in the anime. Basically, I want to separate those who were curious and those who want to pass on. So, yeah. This is a story about a human inhabiting a demon general in another world. He was bored and wanted something other than defending the demon lord's castle. He got that when the hero party came along, a cute priestess. He wanted her, so he did what a demon isn't supposed to do. He proposed. He took the shot. The priestess, Cecillia, declined. The demon, Youki, was determined to get her heart. He did another thing he wasn't supposed to do. He turned himself into a regular human being and invited his three underlings to live among the humans. That's the synopsis. Well, until Youki decided to be chunni about his duty. He applied to be an adventurer, but my god, I can't take him seriously about his feelings after that. I swear. Character I like that this story actually cares about the side characters. It made them more lively. The romance story about Raven and Happiness was much more interesting than Youki and Cecillia, not gonna lie. Other than that, I love the interaction between characters. (I'm not talking about whenever Youki turned chunni. I talked about his true self.) OST/SFX The OP was something else. I didn't expect to be that good. The OP MV isn't that great, but I like the song a lot. The ED was alright. I like the song, but I enjoy the OP more. OST and SFX in the anime itself, Two Thumbs Up. Animation What a weird concept. Let me tell you, I never thought the animation was bad. It was decent. What made it weird was that the background looked like a crayon/paint painting, whereas the characters were drawn digitally. You could feel the disjoint in some of the shots. I mean, I feel weirded out whenever it was shown fully. It felt off. I need to watch more of Gekkou. I've never heard of this studio or the people behind. I only watched this and Midnight Heart from the studio. I must seek what their future project is. VA Two Thumbs Up. The conclusion; Enjoyable Yeah, I enjoy my time watching it. Worthable Not sure, considering I watched it per batch. (3 episodes per watch) I do have to say, however, that there is an episode that feels like filler, but is actually a canon event in the OG material. That really put me off for a couple of minutes after discovering how the story flew. Delivery Again, it was weird. I appreciated that they were trying something new, but I say they should stick to the normal animation style. Clearly, they can't do it perfectly. OG Sauce Nah, I'm good, thanks. I am satisfied with the ending. I don't want to invest even more into the world after the anime. Gratitude Thanks, Anione Asia. As always, I appreciated your hard work. Overall 6.8/10 Could be better, but I still enjoy the show. Don't know if I want to recommend it to you, though.

I was thinking it would be some borish usual scenario, nevermind the part where the MC got "reincarnated" (really tired of that theme) but it honestly couldn't have been better. It has comedic value, the feeling for romance when the MC get's a joyful moment with his crush I really can't help but see how cute they are together. Even if it's just a daily life of a fantasy adventurer it isn't that bad to enjoy these kinds of moments. The one only thing that gets a minus from me is the part where Masked Hero stuff is introduced honestly just the delusionist bits was enough. review fill Fantasy, Love, Romance, Cute, Friendship, Demon Lord, Demon, Harpy, Durandall, Pixie, Priestess, Hero, Mage, Swordsman.

This is a romcom, but instead of the usual highschool, we use isekai fantasy as the setting. Plot MC gets isekai-ed as an overpowered demon under demon lord, and demons are currently waging war on humans. When the hero's party reaches demon castle, MC falls in love with the healer, but is rejected instantly. He allows the party to kill the demon lord, and in human disguise, moves to the city with his underlings to court the healer again. Review This is a light-hearted highschool romcom in a fantasy setting. There's quirky characters, side ships, going on dates (quests), misunderstandings angst, valentines day, overcoming their insecurities etc... The story is very casual most of the time and only becomes serious in regards to human-demon conflicts for brief moments. The humor and the wholesome character relationships make for a pleasant watch. The animation is definitely lacking and makes the animation/action scenes lackluster. One glaring weakness is the dragging of the romance track. A lot of time is taken up by side cast and the main ship barely makes much progress. Even with the romance we get, there's not a lot of depth, so, I couldn't feel anything while watching this. The female lead in particular has no personality beyond being a kind healer. It makes the romance seem very artificial and fake. The lack of a proper story makes the setting feel empty and we just jump from one joke to another with no clear goal to look forward to. Overall While the humor and MC carry the series to some extent, all we end up with is a barely above average series. The first episode should give a good idea of the show's vibe. If you are looking for some casual romcom to pass time, this series is definitely a good choice.

TLDR: Just read the manga, its so much better. I was minding my own business, when I saw a mother's basement new seasonal episode and noticed the main girl on the thumbnail. I was surprised they turn the manga into an anime considering last time I checked it was on hiatus. I watched the first 4 episodes and was so disappointed. Animation: ehh? It wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything you could call great. It was the typical, isekai slop animation which was disappointing since the manga was actually much better slop than those shows. Writing: This made me angry. They took the already well made story from the manga and twisted events around or just completely removed them for some reason. It didn't even make any sense since the plot points they cut weren't gonna strain the budget for anything. I felt gaslight as first since it I didn't know they changed anything and had to reread the manga to make sure I wasn't going crazy (really enjoyed the reread btw). Takeaway: Just so disappointing. The show here isn't bad, but that's the issue. There are multiple scenes in the manga where I felt animation and mainly sound would make the story feel special. But all that came was an okayly animation isekai show that moved all the story beats around for no reason besides the fact that the director thought he was cooking (he REALLY wasn't). Its not a TBATE level mess up but if you really liked the premise but didn't like the actual show then please read the source material.

It had potential, but poor writing and poor animation just drain the life out of it. So the set-up is everything. It is the USP (Unique Selling Point), and it sets out all the main characters and the road the season can take.... But then it all goes horribly wrong. The adventuring is minimal, slow and cheap on the animation front. Instead, we get our MC helping out with other people's love lives, while the central relationship free-wheels to a standstill. He can be a love doctor for others, but can't do anything for himself. Then, when we get towards the end, we encounter some forced drama that is badly handled and has us rolling our eyes. Some of the characters are well written, like Happiness, Cecilia's mother, the guy from the guild and his maid wife. While others, like the hero, are very two-dimensional. To be honest, if it were not for the very funny Chuunibyou sub-plot, I would be giving this a "Not Recommended", but the MC going all Chuuni then dying of shame is by far the best thing in this show. So approach this with low expectations, and you may well enjoy it.

If you ever had the thought of "What if the people who created 'Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls' released an anime in 2026?" You would have "There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her." I don't want to... completely... insult the animation and art itself, because it's still far more talent than I have with a pencil... But... It's. It's certainly an anime. Episode 1 was pretty good at getting you interested, but then it all just got boring, the 'plot' was mostly gone, and overall, it just felt like it didn't even know what to do with itself. The more you watch, the worse it gets.
