Story - 9 (Great) It Was Very Original. Including All The Lines. I Had Fun Watching This And I Was Very Excited To Know What's Next. Art - 9 (Great) Like The Story, The Drawing Is Also Original. It Was Not Bad Actually. They Made Some Characters Good Looking And Very Fun. Sound - 8 (Very Good) Well It Depends On What Player You Are Watching On But Some Of The Scenes' Sound Was Very Loud Or Soft, But It Was Still Understandable Character - 8 (Very Good) I Loved Daisuke And Riku, They're Really Fun Characters Though I Didn't Much Enjoy Risa (No Offense). All Characters Have Their Own Personalities So I Quite Loved Them. Enjoyment - This Anime Is Satisfying To Watch But There Might Be Some Things You Might Not Like Since Not All Anime Ends The Way You Want. But, You Will Be Interested To Know What Happens Next. I Hope You Find My Review Useful!

Okay.... how did I found this anime? Because I was surfing the net and I found the name "Dark Mousy" and I also found the anime title D.N. angel. When I started watching this, I sometimes liked to live a comment. Most of all, I idolize Dark Mousy because he is a thief that tells his plan to the police first. Eventhough he told the police what he will do, he still gets success. And Niwa, he is skinny and incredible. He is 14 years old. His Friends is Saehara, Riku and Risa. In the end, it is a good story. According to my studies, It maybe a twist or a comedy. I wish you will watch this and score 10 to this. It is a great story.

Before watching this anime, I'd never really been into anime at all. But I was instantly hooked by the end of the first episode. The characters are amusing, the voice actors fit them great and the comedy is great ^^ I absolutely loved the opening song and credits, especially being surprised when the theme began adding in the extra sounds, which- to me- just made the credits and song that much more epic :D All in all, D.N. Angel is a great anime to begin your start into the world of anime- to me, anyway xD

D.N.Angel is a short but entertaining anime. The story is simple, a magical theif named Dark, who steels things with his bunny that turns into wings, is sharing a body with a love sick boy named Daisuke, as it has been for generations in Daisuke's family. That's basically the gist. The story plot is pretty neat with random escapade episodes, then it all actually tying together in the end. I have heard odd stand points on how the plot symbolizes art history and how that in turn ties in with the story of angels and phanton art theives. Though this theory is much to profound to be true. This is a light anime. it would be very good for a first time anime watcher or for someone that hasn't seen much anime. The characters are cute, easy to understand but still intense enough that the series isn't mindless. Anyway the story pretty much remains this simple through the whole story since their is little character developement and shallow backgrounds to the characters. Only enough is revealed to keep the story going. As for how any of Dark's magic or the family's magic works, isn't revealed either. This is to make the series more mysterious or cheaper to write. The animation is rather good espeacially during flying or fighting scenes. As for major fight scenes there's only really one, and not much slice of life moments either so it can't fit into a single cliche genre. The music is very fitting instrumental peices, some memorable some not. Though the opening theme is very beuatiful and well done. The voice acting for the sub is incredibly fitting and well casted. However the dub is a completely different story. I wanted to shove scissors in my ears for the dub, so if your not into subtitles your better off not watching this series at all. If your anything like me you will fall in love with the world of unexplained magic, phantom theives, silly crushes, rival angels, and mildly heart jerking themes. I'm very bias torward it since it was the first anime I ever saw and got into. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

D.N. Angel is a unique twist to the whole "angel" story presented in most anime. In it, both angels are male, and both exist for two very contradicting reasons. Dark Mousy exists to steal artwork created by the Hiwataris to prevent the sinister power in each one from causing destruction. Light Krad, on the other hand, exists as the second form of Satoshi to oppose Dark and continue the legend of the Hiwatari masterpieces. The story itself is unique, but it disappointed me that the anime lacked in the thrilling approach I thought it would have, based solely on the plot itself. Yes, it was a unique thought to use angels as thieves so they can sneak into the night, but there was something I thought had gone missing.During the first few episodes, it seemed as if the same things would happen again and again. Dark would steal artwork, and prevent different disasters from occurring. But as it progressed, the story seemed to change, first with the arrival of Mio Hio, pretending to like Daisuke only because she wanted to take his soul, next with the appearances of Towa, the story of Freedert, and Kosuke's ring. There were also certain twists, like the grandmother of the twins being Dark's real first love, and even Daisuke's change in romantic interest. So I rate it as average in the beginning, a little above that in the middle, and the end as a great turn of events. Though the ending with Riku and Daisuke's kiss didn't satisfy me, seeing as it left things unexplained, I still give it a good rating because it passes as something I would like to rewatch.

I liked this anime so much! sure the artwork could have been better but the story makes up for it. This anime i tought in the beginning of the show ok this is gonna be bad, but then it just blow me away. Now i just wish someone made my memory go away so i could watch it all over again and get that same feeling. It will give you enough doze of action, comedy and Romance. so go watch it now YOU luckybastards!

Story: I loved the story for this show. It was creative and active with the reader, but did tend to feel a bit repetitive. After so many episodes of Dark stealing stuff from museums and the polices' complete idiocy when it came to security measures, you start to get bored. Thankfully, after a couple of episodes of total filler, there is a plot that comes to surface. The story, at it's core, was very clever and exciting, but it did have it's "you-can-tell-that-they-were-trying-to-eat-up-time" moments. Overall, it was a very good story, one that would've done well as a novel in the U.S. Art: This show is based around an art thief and families of artists or of people who collect art. You think that they'd spend a bit more time on the animation of this show. Many aspects of the animation bothered me, such as that the style in which the main characters were drawn in changed throughout the show, as well as the more detailed things in the art pieces that were stolen or previously obtained. That annoyed the crap out of me. I would love for this show to be re-animated in the more modern way, to avoid these stupid mistakes that even I, a viewer noticed. Sound: There were some effects that didn't seem to fit the moment, but you just kind-of roll with the punches with this show. The voices, for the English dubbing, sounded perfect for their characters. I loved the voices of the characters, and still do. The voices were a definite boost for the show to me. Charater: I love the characters! The characters were established and were kept that way. In this case, that was a good thing. if they were meant to be annoying, they defiantly were. Overall: I did enjoy watching this show, even though there were things that I would definatly change about it. I recommend it as a third or fourth anime ever, kind of show.

Well i liked this a lot but not the last epsode though. this anime was really good. the way dark had his mind of his own and how Niwa and dark conflict to each other. i also like the romance between Riku and Risa. I don't know if this will be helpful review but i will say that for people who like anime that has stealing artifacts and romance should watch this.(also people who likes supernatural things)

It starts out having a ton of campy qualities. Lots of hilarious plot developments and action scenes. There's also a recurring bit where whenever a character was farther away, the studio appears to have made their VA stand across the room and yell their lines, it split my sides for a while. But then about 10 or so episodes in the novelty wears off. All the things that made the camp start repeating more and more. The storylines are pure nonsense but they're also way too boring to keep me engaged. There's a noticeable budget increase for the final 2 episodes but the pacing for these episodes goes at the speed of light. You can tell there were tons of gaps in the material they were trying to adapt for one reason or another, I had this constant feeling that there was something missing in the character interactions. The romance especially suffers from this, it feels so rushed and underdeveloped. By the end of the show I was truly wondering what the point of all this was, what the motivations behind any conflict were. I genuinely couldn't tell what was going on. I was really hoping this show was going to be nothing but schlock that would keep me laughing, but in reality it loses its luster way too fast.

D.N. Angel is underrated. Its plot and characters may seem simple, but its execution is definitely noteworthy. The main and side characters are charming and believable, the story's magic system is compelling, and I adore the characters' overall relationships. Daisuke and Dark are a great pair, and while the former may seem like a typical protagonist he's a nice guy and I want him to succeed. His interactions with the cast have good chemistry, particularly with Dark and Hiwatari and the "romantic" bits are reasonable for the characters' age group. That being said, D.N. isn't perfect. Its story strays a bit from the manga so some details may be lost in translation, especially with the ending. While I am fine with the cast, some may find them as one-note or annoying. The artwork is definitely as old and retro as the early 2000s, and the ending can be seen as unsatisfying. Regardless, the good outweighs them.

This anime is great for multiple reasons. One of them being that the story is rather unique from most other anime, another being that the art is cute and the scenery is well done and the characters are easy to relate to. The story begins in a rather cutesy sort of manner, a typical boy loves girl, girl barely notices boy sort of thing. It's easy to enjoy the simplicity of the anime at the beginning because you're consumed in wondering if Daisuke (the main character) will end up with Risa (his love interest). However, as the story progresses, it becomes even more enjoyable as you learn more of all the characters' pasts and a twist that could have never been expected happens. At this point you become interested in the anime for more than just the reason of Daisuke's love life.

D.N Angel, where to begin? This is one of the most awesome original animes I've seen so far. Some people might avoid it because it's old, and instead they end up missing a lot from this amazing anime because this is definitely a MUST watch if you're looking for a fantasy anime with a good plot. Story: Niwa Daisuke, an average junior school boy who has his life turned upside down on his 14th birthday. Ever since he was little, his family put him under some kind of special training but they never told him what they are training him for until the day of his 14th birthday when he discovers he will have a phantom's spirit living inside his body, this phantom appears because he needs to fulfil specific tasks with the help of Daisuke to protect the world from evil arts pieces and dark magic. Mystery is also a part if this anime, bits of the story gets unfolded as the anime and characters progress. Art: the art is the first thing that attracted me and this is one of the reason why I decided to watch it. The art is cute and the eyes are beautifully drawn, the colours are also nice and personally it is even better than many animes out there today. The art stands out. Sound: Outstanding OST. It suits the magical atmosphere of the anime. Nothing was disturbing and every track was in place. Characters: The characters are rather interesting and there is a great deal of character development in the story, which makes it s a great anime. The characters develop, however they don't change their personalities completely. Enjoyment: This is a very enjoyable series. Each episode made me want to continue watching more and more and I managed to finish it in 5 days, which is pretty long for me, but I had other things to do :P Overall: Again, if you like a new kind of fantasy mixed up with art and high school romance, also a male lead who has love problems mixed up with his super powers then this is an anime for you.

Watching the first episode of "D.N.Angel", I found myself wondering more about where the heck does this take place? The language is Japanese, the architecture is Mediterranean, and at times characters speak German with many plot points having a Catholic motif. I guess it was a harbinger of things to come that I wanted to know MORE about what was going on than what I got. Still, "D.N.Angel" proved to be a solid show aimed at the early teen demographic from back in 2003. Coming from Xebec, a studio with a solid reputation, I didn't actually pick this show myself. I asked a friend to pick a letter and number; D and 4. That led me to this on Crunchyroll- and I'm glad I found it. The show starts in very action-packed fashion as a pair of winged angels do battle- one dark and one light- until they are separated by some seal of magic. That cuts to present day wherein we are introduced to the protagonist, Daisuke Niwa, a red-haired boy who has now turned 14 and must endure the "curse" of the aforementioned dark angel inside him, aptly named "Dark". After a ceremony from his loving mother and grandfather (also a lifetime of training) he's now forced to become a "Phantom Thief". One who steals precious art from various locations, with a letter of warning before each caper. Daisuke himself is quite likable. Spiky-haired, pure of heart, with enough awkwardness and insecurity to make him relatable. He crushes on his classmate, Risa (who has a twin sister- yes, this will complicate things), who is the key to his transformation into Dark. This show has a very scattered and confusing premise. Daisuke must become Dark and steal art and artifacts as is family tradition. Okay, this is a crime anime? No. There are supernatural themes about each item and various plots that entail them. So, it's supernatural? Yes, but much of it relies on Daisuke's life as a high school student and him keeping his secret identity. That makes it a superhero genre? Somewhat. You can see how often I was more than a little confused as to what the heck was going on and what the writers were going for. But, I can report quite proudly that it does sort itself out for the most part by the time all 26 episodes finish and I was even firmly drawn in come the finale. But the reason it gets a 6/10 from me is because of the oddness of it all. Perhaps something was lost in the adaptation from the manga, but this show barely managed to save itself in a meaningful way. This also might be the reason it has yet to get an English dub. It seems rather perfect for the time and market. If I were 13 and saw it on Toonami for CW11 I'd be very curious. But, there's other reasons as to why it failed to get picked up here in the US or Canada, I think; there's some awkwardness when it comes to relationships. Dark is many eons old, yet he macks on Risa who is 14, granted he's the same age in body, but it's very off-putting at times. And perhaps most of all involves the formal antagonist, Satoshi Hiwatari. When I mentioned Dark fought a light angel, that angel, too (who's named Light) has a human host in the cold, teenage classmate (and super cop) Satoshi Hiwatari who's under his father's thumb to capture Dark. His motivations are eventually brought to light (no pun intended) and he enjoys the best character arc in the series. But there can be construed a homosexual innuendo between them which would've been VERY taboo in 2003. I could write a whole other review on the subtext of this show involving hiding one's true sexuality and the symbolism of puberty but at the end of the day; it's just a darn fine anime. When all was said and done, I had enjoyed it and isn't that the goal? I give this show the strongest 6/10 ever. It's not going to change your life, but a good watch if you just want something casual to view. Check it out. Cheers!
