Bro this is starting to get old. That's always the same shit in this anime. The basic loop is as following : Getting naked (funny haha :) ) into thirsting over women into Iori saying something sensitive for once which make some love interest fawn over him into argument/game between iori and his friends. Now you can loop right at the start, that's season 3. To be fair, there was some character development with Cakey and Chisa but well, it was at most basic and very thin. The humor is the fucking same, its been 3 fucking season man, can you try to write something else ? Either you try to apply yourself and make something more thought about humor-wise, not just getting naked and playing dumb games, or you can try to move on with the story. 3 seasons of this dumb shit is getting old. Then they try to justify the actual name of the anime with a few scenes diving and seeing the deeper sea but yeah, that's getting old too. It's always the same shit of characters diving in and realizing that diving was so great. It's cool. The first or second time. It's like the fifteenth time now ? I think we understand that they like to dive. Why not go deeper into the subject, try to make something of it ? I don't mind that diving is taking place, that should take place, it's one of the theme of this anime. I mind when the diving sessions are all THE SAME, without any depth besides "wow that's so refreshing". OK. AFTER 15 TIMES WE UNDERSTAND ITS COOL. This anime is not really fun anymore, I may have laughed 2 times top, when you hear the same jokes for three seasons, it just gets old, especially when it just doesn't go anywhere. The author is just using the fact that he writes a comedy to not make an effort to write an actual story. Bro, Gintama is a comedy, School Rumble is a comedy, GTO is a comedy. Move your ass and start working.

Still the same Grand Blue you know and love, but I did feel this season as a whole is the weakest of the three as my minor gripes started to accumulate while watching. Getting the negative out of the way, the passport arc was dragged out, and I did not find the three new German characters funny at all. Side characters such as Azusa, Busujima, and Nanaka got way less screen time in favor for these worse substitutes, which sucks when they've established its the seniors' last year. Going back to the positives, the second half of the season was much better, especially the last two episodes. Kohei really got the spotlight being a great bro and wingman for Aina, which was quite wholesome. The heart + soul of Grand Blue I can confidently say is still alive and well with its humor, exaggerated misunderstandings, and chronic alcoholism. This show is a perfect summer watch, bringing a smile to my face each week; I hope next summer will be the same with S4!

Grand Blue still has plenty of gas (or should I say oxygen?) in its tank for sure, but a few factors collude to make Season 3 a bit of an awkward whole. One of those factors is the "passport" arc, which simply misses the mark in terms of gags, pacing, and the minor characters featured. Not terrible, just underwhelming. Things do get back on track after that arc with regards to those aspects, but there's a second issue which is the fact that so much of the season is spent traveling. The resulting stories (aside from the aforementioned passport arc, which happens to also itself be a travel arc) are enjoyable in and of themselves, and the comedy is as sharp as ever, but spending so much time away from home makes the season feel somewhat out of balance and unfamiliar. Too much of the established supporting cast is completely absent from too many episodes, their presence being sorely missed. Overall, still easily worth the watch for Grand Blue fans just slightly lacking compared to the stronger earlier seasons.

season 3 of the anime that talks alcohol, nudity and psychological warfare with some filler episodes about scuba diving club ✨ THE GOOD: the bastards are back here to make you watch grown ass college students make catastrophically stupid decisions while occasionally remembering that diving supposed to be a f*cking part of the plot absolute f*cking disaste of idiots bo*bs and f*cking alchool , ok! now enjoy! lyfao 😂 THE “HOW THE FUCK IS THIS STILL FUNNY?” ENERGY: it just works the facial expressions alone deserve a f*cking oscar and the "oh i forgot there is some diving bullsh*t in here" another thing i appreciate a quit remember there is genuinely an enjoyable college/slice of life adventure hiding ,those quieter moments make those ridiculous sh*t hit harder 🤦 OUR HR COMPLAIN: sometimes it laks a bit compared to last two seasons it's a refinement of the same rather than some massive evolution so if you didn't enjoy the humor (you dorks) this season wan't magically convert you 🎯 FINAL VERDICT: it's loud, it's stupid, it's wholesome, it's alcoholic and f*ck me it make me care about those idiots ✔ Watch if: it's b*obs ,alcohol and humor TF you need else ❌ Skip if: you're a dork , yup! ain't no other reason to skip this one 🎤 Best paired with: cheap booze, terrible decisions, a license to enjoy your time and laugh and the blessings of at least your friends haven't stripped you naked and thrown you into a pool

The last three episodes saved it or I'd be giving it a 6 (can't muster the strength to give my grand blue 3 or 4) still first time giving it anything less than a 10. Was disappointed from the passport arc, I think shiori's character is too flat for now without her exploration it can be fun only for a episode at max like it was in s2, hope there's more to her.. and palau arc was actually making me doubt if was grand blue always like this? but so happy to know my grand blue can again be strong as ever. Just hope it doesn't delve into the girls and lori too much and explores kohei and tokki-bokki, azusa too.

It has everything that made the previous seasons so damn fun chaos, ridiculous situations, unhinged comedy and characters who somehow keep making everything worse. Man, some eps this season went completely crazy. The Yamamoto episode especially was absolutely insane. An entire episode built around that situation and it somehow kept getting funnier and more chaotic. The story also progressed quite a lot. This season focused more on the main characters which was necessary to set things up for the future and I think they handled it really well. I was genuinely surprised that Kouhei was the first person to notice that. And that finale... WTF was that ending. It was complete chaos, hilarious situations and then leaving you with an ending that makes you excited for next season. Grand Blue is still Grand Blue and that's exactly why I love it. 🍻

How good is to continue this story. This season due to my memories is even better than the second despite my score 9/10. Pretty enjoyable that this season include 3 miniarcs. And I like that the authors pay attention to diving and show deeper development of main characters. And they wide story and backrgoud of them, which I really like. And it is really good to see how Iori start to be better version of himself. (P.s. sometimes it's really too much for such pervert illustration of boys, I hope there will be lesser in next seasons). What sad, that we are so far from ending of this anime, and further manga is not ended. But I'll wait for continue of this chill anime

Definitely not an upgrade from Season 2, but still an absolute entertainment frenzy. Grand Blue continues to do what it does best—pure chaos, stupid situations, and characters making the worst possible decisions. 😂 After Season 2 toned down a lot of the naked jokes and brought in some fresher characters, this season brought quite a bit of that back. Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of that. The comedy works much better for me when it's based on the ridiculous situations and character interactions rather than just the naked jokes. Story & Characters There isn't really much of a story to complain about because Grand Blue has never been about progressing some huge plot. But this season did bring some actual character development, which was nice to see. The characters are still the same chaotic idiots we've known from the previous seasons, but there are moments where they actually feel like they're moving forward. Animation Nothing particularly groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. Grand Blue doesn't need spectacular animation to be funny—the expressions, reactions and timing are what matter most, and those still work well. Recommendation Definitely not as good as Season 2 for me, but still a very fun watch. If you've enjoyed the previous seasons, there's no reason to stop here. Just expect the usual drinking and diving (sometimes).

Completed - 8.50 These days, Grand Blue is the comfort series I keep coming back to—an anime I can tune into weekly and always find entertaining without ever feeling repetitive. This season is no exception, though the romance takes on greater focus this time around, spending more time with the main cast and understanding how these characters relate to one another. The direction is remarkably well-adjusted tonally, with episodes seamlessly blending its usual eccentric, absurd comedy with some of the heaviest drama the series has explored yet. These moments can take unexpected emotional turns in ways that shouldn't work for a series like this—yet land with real sincerity. That tonal control is even more notable given how loosely structured the series is often put together. Grand Blue has never been a tightly produced series; there have been many times before where episodes felt disjointed or scattered, though it rarely got in the way—this season, though, felt way more considered—transitions recalibrate the tone, callbacks to earlier jokes, proving the series is capable of a more meaningful expression. But, where the writing found real depth, the animation couldn’t keep pace—flatter, less committed episodes, with more static scenes, careless framing, and stiffer motion throughout. That being said, it takes surprisingly little away from watching it; the writing alone still carries all the weight the visuals sometimes miss, and that’s ultimately what keeps me coming back each time. Part of me hopes Grand Blue will continue to be a summer staple, though I’d happily trade a longer wait for Zero-G to have more room to work on a fully realised follow-up.

This is the first season of Grand Blue that I followed weekly. For Season 1, I usually saved up two or three episodes and watched them together, while I binged all of Season 2 at once. Maybe that difference in viewing style affected my experience, or maybe it is simply the material itself, but Season 3 definitely feels like the weakest of the three so far. I also get the impression that the production team understood that this season was more transitional in nature. Season 4 was announced almost immediately after Season 3 ended, which feels like a deliberate way to keep the momentum going and make sure the hype does not disappear. To be clear, the anime is still perfectly decent. It just does not feel as consistently funny or entertaining as Seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 leans much more heavily into the slice-of-life side of the series. A lot more time is spent setting up new storylines, introducing new characters, and establishing future plot points. The problem is that those setup episodes are not always especially funny. After watching Grand Blue for this long, I think the series has a fairly recognizable structure to its comedy. The show is at its best when established characters are bouncing off each other, escalating ridiculous situations, and using their existing chemistry to make even simple conversations funny. Whenever a new arc or new character is introduced, the show has to slow down and establish the new dynamic first. There is not enough familiarity for the comedy to immediately reach the same level as it does with the old cast. Eventually the series tends to settle back into familiar joke structures anyway, but getting there takes time, and I think that is probably why some fans found this season more boring than the previous two. There is also much more emphasis on the relaxed side of the series: friends simply hanging out, looking after each other, and spending time together. That is not necessarily bad, but it changes the energy considerably. The main four characters and several familiar supporting characters also seem less prominent this season, which further reduces some of the chemistry that made earlier seasons so entertaining. Some of the humor is beginning to feel a little dated as well. I know the source material has been around for quite a while, but especially during the first few episodes, some jokes feel very 2018–2020-coded rather than something that feels completely fresh in 2026. Nonetheless, the show remains extremely easy to watch. Even during its weaker episodes, I never struggled to keep up with it weekly, and there is still enough charm, character chemistry, and comfortable slice-of-life material to make the season enjoyable.
